Simon, Kalu In Action As Nantes, Bordeaux Settle For Draw

Super Eagles winger, Simon Moses was at his best as Nantes held Bordeaux to a 1-1 draw at the Stade Matmut Atlantique in Sunday’s Ligue 1 clash.

The Nigerian international who was making his 9th appearance for Nantes was a delight to watch.

The host took the lead in the 63rd minutes through Ui-Jo Hwang before Nantes leveled parity in the 75th minutes through Pedro Chirivella to silence the home supporters.

However, he was substituted in the 90th minutes by Marcus Coco after a decent display.

On the other hand, his fellow compatriot, Samuel Kalu came on as a substitute in the 86th minutes for Mehdi Zerkane.

It was his seventh appearance for Bordeaux this ongoing season.

How Moses Simon continues to do well at club but blow hot and cold in the colours of Nigeria is still a mystery! I believe players perform below par under Rohr’s instructions because he likes to sacrifice a team’s prowess in attack for static defensive rigidity… we have had some very laughable outings under Rohr but mention it and his attack snippers come at you… Lol! CAR does not even need to ever qualify for nations cup or world cup anymore… they have made all the footballing statement needed to be recognised by the world by handing us a humbling defeat recently… Mikel quarrel with Rohr over too much needless defensive tactics… Balogun too is always having a go at him… yet, Rohr supporters will tell you he is the best thing after Agege bread in Nigeria!

    • @Jimmyball he played as a win back in the last match. What do you expect rohr to do in that situation. Nantes is different from Nigeria now. French league is different from afcon qualifier and world cup qualifier now. Haba let us criticise rohr objectively.

  • Moses Simon is not a bad footballer but a good coach will prefer chukwueze and ejuke. Moses performance in the national team has been poor recently ejuke should be starting ahead of him.i still don’t understand why Musa is still with the team he should give way for younger players.lets wait and see what will happen in the next afcon.

Insigne just lost a penalty…… How I wish he could have let Osimehn take it to increase his tally. So far the match is interesting with Ola Aina bombarded with most of Napoli’s attack.

  • You are really there, I see. Got 3.m bet on Napoli, hope it goes our way. A risk goes awry.
