Simon, Lookman Make Ligue 1, Serie A Teams Of The Week

Super Eagles forwards Moses Simon and Ademola Lookman were named in the Ligue 1 and Serie A Teams of the Week.

Football facts and statistics website, whoscored.com, posted the Team of the Week for the Serie A and Ligue 1 on their X handle.

In Ligue 1, Simon scored and provided two assists as Nantes defeated Lorient 5-3.

After setting up Nantes’ first and fourth goals, Simon added the fifth goal from the penalty spot on 99th minute.

Simon took his tally for the season to two goals and three assists in six league games.

In the Italian top flight, Lookman opened the scoring for Atalanta on 33 minutes in their 2-0 home win against Cagliari.

It is Lookman’s second goal in five league appearances for Atalanta this season.

Also for the first time this season Atalanta have recorded back-to-back wins in the league.

The win took Atalanta to sixth position on nine points after five games played.
