Nigeria forward Simy Nwankwo has been named Serie B player of the month for October, Completesports.com reports.
It is the second time Nwankwo has won the award after last picking it up in March.
Nwankwo scored four goals in five league outings for Crotone during the month of October.
The 27-year-old scored a brace against Virtus Entella and Venezia, before scoring the Sharks’ only goal in their 2-1 loss to Chievo.
He has scored seven goals in 11 Serie B appearances for Crotone this season.
The Super Eagles’ fringe forward will be looking to maintain his fine form when Crotone host Ascoli at the Stadio Ezio Scida in Friday’s league fixture.

I seriously don’t understand why Simy has been discarded from the SE? Cos of age (It seems Rohr likes them 22-24 years)? He doesn’t have a godfather (like Ezenwa)? I’ll swap him anytime for Onuachu. He has more stamina, more guile, is more skilled and more unpredictable. Imagine ‘small boy’ & Tanzanian striker Sambwa Samata who is less than 1 year at Genk FC is now captain of the club and leading the team out against Liverpool tonight. It shows the club rate him ahead of Onuachu and Odey in the striker’s role. SMH.
This guy deserves another chance with the SE. To win player of the month in the competitive Serie B is not beans. Moreover, the guy did really well for us the few times he was called upon. He should be given more opportunities to show what he’s got.
Onuachu OUT!!!! Simmy In!! Asap!.
I don’t understand why Rohr keeps calling Onuachu..like seriously. Simmy is just way better than that Tall for nothing chap
