Teboho Mokoena says South Africa will not put their foot off the pedal when they face the Olympic Eagles in their third Group B match at the 2019 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, Completesports.com reports.
Both teams will clash on Friday at the Al Salam Stadium, Cairo.
As it stands, South Africa are top of Group B with four points, a point ahead of Nigeria.
South Africa remain the only country yet to concede in the competition.
The 22-year old midfielder says his team intend building from the performances they produced in their last two games.
“We played really well against Ivory Coast in our previous match and Nigeria is another side that we will need to manage as well,” Mokoena who scored a stunning free kick in South Africa’s 1-0 win against Cote d’l voire on Tuesday told a news conference on Thursday.
“We have been solid at the back in our previous two group games while pressing forward to create scoring chances of our own. The same approach will be applied in this tie, as we also want to win this game as well.”
