  • God is a Nigerian He will help us

    • Tell the imbecile who dedicated a trophy he has not won to a blood stained old monster instead of God to go and dedicate his traveling bag back to Nigeria to Baba and collect his own share of the blood money….. Greedy coaches who only care about their dirty pockets…..shame

    • Sportradio88.0 fm 11 months ago

Nigeria coaches stil need to learn how to win a game with ease. That is the only thing remaining…. Attack attack attack attack Wil not always win. …the Koreans ve thought us again… The boys played but lost to a good defence…super eagles is next they wil go and attack serra Leone in 90 mins and we no the results.. instead of allowing their opponent to expose themselves. They are the one that wil expose their yatch .then go do yatch before playing sierra Leone .

…to break down this highly organized South Korean team, our forwards needs to take their defence once and move the ball more quickly. We also need crosses from the flanks… as well as sharp cutbacks.

    • JimmyBall 11 months ago

We need take-ons to create panic and disorganize their defence. They are planning to catch us on counter.

      • Papafem 11 months ago

I agree with you, Bro. This is where Sarki would gage been useful bit nut he’d injured.

  • onwajunior 11 months ago

We dominated the 1st half, but we need to make our it count. Good game so far. Benjamin is diamond I swear!!

  • At this stage you can’t be having this nature of possession and not use it…

    It could be costly,..

I now see why the coach always insist on using lawal as his attacking midfielder,, nnadi is good but not so creative…

I expect some quality substitution in the second half that will unsettle the Korean defense..

    Kudus to the boys

  • Ooomo, we are playing against AI.

    • Patrator 11 months ago

You’re spot on. I’ve been thinking same. They pass the around decently. They just need a bit more of creativity and cutting edge.

Whatever happens, the boys (and the coaches) have given a very good account of themselves. Penalty is anyone’s game.

  • DANURCHMAN 11 months ago

La Dan Bosso said he want to dedicate the cup to Tinubu the drug Baron. As it is, which cup does he want to dedicate to Tinubu now? I have two big tea cups. Let him come and take one and dedicate it to Tinubu. Instead of this coach to say he would dedicate the cup to more than 200 million Nigerians, who are giving the team all support, he wants to give it the most corrupt president with questionable character, who stole into power through high definition fraud and political manipulation. E don happen.

    • The greedy fool who calls himself a coach brought bad luck to those boys with that careless statement….. Dedicating a trophy only God can help you win to a monster who has blood on his hands…..A monster who is ready to sacrifice anything for political power……Let bosso kuku dedicate his wife to Tinubu….lolz

  • RESPECT IS RECIPROCAL 11 months ago

LET LADAN CONTINUE AS THE COACH BUT WE NEED SOMEONE MORE INTELLIGENT TO SELECT PLAYERS FOR HIM . I FEEL HE KNOWS HOW TO DRILL AND COACH BUT LACK THE IMPETUS TO SELECT SKILLFUL PLAYERS. GRA GRA PLAYERS WILL ALWAYS DISAPPOINT WHEN IT MATTER MOST. WE HAVE A COUPLE OF CHANCES THAT WERE SCUFFLED AWAY . THIS KOREAN TEAM IS APPLYING AI TO PLAY AGAINST US AND IT IS ONLY SKILLFUL AND INTELLIGENT PLAYERS THAT CAN BREAK THE AI CODE

    • I will recommend that Remo stars youth coach for that position….. that coach knows every young talent in this country and he has been in our grassroot football system for a long time now….I don’t really remember his name but he should be our next u17 or u20 coach.

  • Selfmade KING 11 months ago

Match over … Italy and Nigeria turned BEANS lol

  • Chudynak 11 months ago

Bosso, I hope you have something else for Tinubu now that you do not have any trophy to present to him

    • DANURCHMAN 11 months ago

Don’t mind Bosso. Let him come and take one of my plastic cups and dedicate to Tinubu. Yeye dey smell.

  • RESPECT IS RECIPROCAL 11 months ago

THE TEAM HAS NOT BEEN CONVINCING FROM THE START BUT THEY HAVE BEEN ORGANIZED AND DEFENSIVELY BETTER. SELECTION IS THE BANE OF OUR PROBLEM IN THIS COUNTRY. 80% OF THE PLAYERS ARE BELOW STANDARD . OUR PLAYERS ARE LITTLE OLDER THAN THE TEAM WE PLAYED AGAINST AND THAT IS WHY WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO MUSSCLE THEM INTO SUBMISSION. 97% OF OUR GOALS COME FROM CONTENTION, WHICH WE WERE ABLE TO WIN BECASE OF SUPERIOR STRENGTH. LADAN BOSSO IN THE PAST HAS BEEN AN EXPONENT OF SELECTING PLAYERS MAJORLY FROM THE NORTH AND HIS RELIGION. LET HIM BE MORE OPEN FOR BETTER RESULTS TO COME IN

  • Build you up only to let you down.
    Bosso
    Ugbade
    Danjuma
    All big time let-dowms.

Is there a point being invested in any of our national teams? Let’s face it, we are no longer the force we used to be in football.

    Another disappointment bites the dust.

    Good night folks

Oh yeah Randy Waldrum, it will soon be your turn to lead us off another beaten track in July.

    Pure nonsense.

  • Chima E Samuels 11 months ago

The bench was terrible not a disgrace but Bosso has given his best. It’s time for NFF to give coaches contracts and stop the part time employment format. I will suggest Bosso takes Sabbatical let us try new hands. For u17 as well let’s go back to Manu Garba let us go back to coaches that once won us trophies. Bosso and Ugbade did a good job though but it’s time for them to take a break and go and put finishing touch to their craft.

  • The guys tried. Remember Brazil lost to debutant Israel. We were the only African country in the quarter final.

The only fault is I do not see a proper 9 in this team.

    We missed Haliru Sariki also.

    Kudos guys.

    • DANURCHMAN 11 months ago

Israel played fantastic football and won. Flying eagles were over rated. The team is not good. Our players are older than the Koreans, yet Koreans still dump them. They Played rubbish

  • This is why I was trying to focus minds on the SK game first – There’s something called jinxing, Nigerians are fond of it! to be counting the chickens before the eggs hatch is to be putting the horse before the carriage, it is a form of jinx and still people do it- I am not superstitious but one should never take anything in life for granted and be looking a gift horse in the mouth – Well that’s the end of that then, now wait for the ghanains to come and start rejoicing here

  • Ako Amadi 11 months ago

Maybe the Flying Eagkes are ALL older than 25 years. As the game wore on they had no energy to run after the Koreans

    • Under 20 in Nigeria is easily known.

      GOAL KEEPER
      Chijoke Aniagboso (age 19)

      DEFENDERS
      Solomon Agbalaka (age 19)
      Benjamin Fredrick (age 17)
      Daniel Bameyi (age 17)
      Abel Ogwuche (age 19)
      Chimezie Njoku (age 18)
      Israel Domingo (age 19)

      MIDFIELDERS
      Samson Lawal (age 19)
      Daniel Daga (age 16)
      Ibrahim Abdullahi (age 17)
      Victor Eletu (age 18)
      Joshua John (age 19)
      Tochukwu Nadi (age 19)

      FORWARD

      Sunday Jude (age 18)
      Ibrahim Beji Muhammad (age 19)
      Rilwanu Haliru Sarki (age 19)
      Umeh Emmanuel (age 18)
      Kehinde Ibrahim (age 17)
      Salim Fago Lawal (18)

At least 10 years of football suppose dey their legs but check if 6 would be relevant again in only 4 years time.

We are killing our tomorrow football by using age cheats oh unless we will continue to use foreign born players

  • Ayphillydegreat 11 months ago

They tried their best. Solid defense, good midfield, but unintelligent attackers. That’s the story of this set of FlyingEagles. The two center backs will go places. Daga and Nnadi will have a future. Eletu is already at Milan I hope he progress. Thank you guys for the memories. Better next time.

  • Agbo chimezie 11 months ago

Mohammed Bamiyi Abudulahi Ibrahim and Daga you want to use to win trophy hope you will dedicated the loss to your president bunch of fools

  • JimmyBall 11 months ago

The team lack a bit of usefulness with deadballs. Maybe Eletu ought not to have started the game because Samson Lawal has more direct shots when he plays.

We were punished for not handling dead ball situations properly. Just like Brazil scored against us, I believe South Korea saw that in the Brazil game and practised.

A few players are below par, the No. 14 Abdullahi was not it at all. Salim Fago could develop into a decent attacked but needs to work on his pressing and alertness, as well as shooting.

I will suggest NFF send Nduka Ugbade and Ladan Bosso as well as Manu Garba on refresher courses in Europe to update their knowledge on Tactics and Training methods. A semifinal berth would have been sweet but overall the boys gave a good account of themselves. The team.

In the final analyzes, I think the team lacked just one key thing… Cutting edge, a real lethal striker who can change a game. We can build on this.

    • I have said it several times, this koreans has away of shocking their opponents. We have never had upper hands against this Koreans be at youth or senior level.

So with all the winning against Italy and argentina, this is where it ends.

Flying eagles good night to you all.

  • Fredrick is a real talent that will go places in Europe…..He is best Nigerian young center defender I have ever seen……He will break into any team in Europe if he works hard and keeps his head humble.

  • Those boys that came from the bench have no business with the team.. they cost us this game.. abduhalim or what do they call him with the ibhamin.. how on earth did this players Make the team?

I heard sarki was injured before the game and couldn’t play today and with his absence we had no player capable of replacing him..

We were better than the Korean side, but our attack and full backs are poor..

Our two defenders are great players and will do great in their careers.. same with some of the midfielders but you see those left and right back that can’t cross the ball at this stage with those attackers from the north aside beji and sarki are just chaff that were forced down the throat of Bosso..

  • I have said it several times, this koreans has away of shocking their opponents. We have never had upper hands against this Koreans be at youth or senior level.

So with all the winning against Italy and argentina, this is where it ends.

Flying eagles good night to you all.

  • These boys remind me of Arsenal this season. They play well and win against teams that play open football but struggle against teams that sit back and wait for that one golden opportunity.

The same happened in the AFCON against Gambia.

The Korean team offered almost nothing going forward and simply took the one opportunity they had.

Gambia just like Korea too offered almost nothing going forward but they won the semi final match.

The Flying eagles tried, Nigerians should stop complaining. Nobody even expected them to go past the group stage.

At least, we’ve spotted some gems that are solid future super eagles materials like Fedrick and Ogwuche.

    • Selfmade KING 11 months ago

Football isn’t always about going forward!

It also about SITTING and defending

      • Football is an end-to-end game that is why we have defenders, midfielders and strikers.

If the tactics you come with is to sit, defend and wait for one opportunity, it becomes very dangerous when you are scored first because most times, those kinds of teams usually run of ideas and simply open themselves up to more goals.

Korea played a dangerous one but it worked for them, so congrats to them.

  • Helius 11 months ago

All of una wey dey talk say d boys tried, abi tournament football na try ur luck or we try sha dey win cups? absolute nonsense from Trying Fc rubbish.

  • We are clamouring for Local Coaches, if you cannot do anything meaningful with Local players then what are you planning to achieve with European based players who sleep and wake up with tactically sound coaches everyday. All the player will do each time they are on national duty is discuss the coach in their hotel rooms.
I still dont understand how this team beat Italy and Argentina
