Southampton are confident Gao Jisheng’s commitment to the club is still sound despite him losing majority control of Lander Sports.
It was Jisheng who purchased 80 per cent of Southampton from Katharina Liebherr 18 months ago for a reported £210m.

After a major share sale, Chinese business mogul Jisheng has now lost a controlling stake in his Lander Sports company.
There are concerns that the owner’s interest in Saints could be diminishing after this transaction but reports have suggested the recent movement at Lander Sports is to help Jisheng focus on improving other investments, including Southampton.
The south-coast outfit currently find themselves battling for their Premier League survival, as they sit in 18th place in the table ahead of Sunday’s trip to Arsenal.
