Spurs were linked with a £9million move for the German striker back in 2015 but he reportedly rejected them to instead sign for Wolfsburg.
But his nine goals and seven assists have fired Werder into European contention this season and put him on the radar of Maurico Pochettino, who is on the lookout for a back-up striker again this summer.
