Stoke City manager Michael O’Neil says John Mikel Obi will be assessed ahead of the side’s Sky Bet Championship clash against Queens Park Rangers on Wednesday, reports Completesports.com.
Mikel has missed the Potters last four league games as result of injury.
The former Nigeria captain is expected to go through a late fitness test to ascertain his readiness for the game at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.

“We’ll assess John Obi (Mikel) today. He trained for part of the session yesterday, but the important thing is not bringing players back too early and risking re-injury,”O’Neil stated during his interaction with the media on Monday afternoo .
“I suppose the big positive for is that no one added to our injury list from the game on Saturday”.
Mikel has made 14 league appearances for Stoke City this season.
The 33-year-old arrived Bet365 Stadium on a free transfer this summer.
