Sure, chukwueze to make way for Dennis in the second half

    • So you go play 4-2-4 for this kin match. Abi you want a repeat of Nigeria vs Tunisia for nations cup. Na wha o.

      • To beat Ghana and home eagles must play 4 5 1 in 1st half and 4 4 2 in 2nd half . anything formation apart from this could be dangerous. Against cape Verde in 1st leg . They where successful with this.

  • Samson 2 years ago

    Uzoho
    Ekong
    Balogun
    Aina
    Sanusi
    Bonke
    Amoo (Etebo)
    Aribo
    Simon (Lookman)
    Chukwueze (Dennis)
    Osimhen

    • @Samson good list but Amoo must start on the bench Etebo has too much expeirence and is alot closer to Ndidi than Amoo also I would Start Bassey over Aina, Aina cost us the game against Tunisia. Also Bassey is more relied upon at Rangers than our Most Experienced Defender Leon Balogun lately, not to mention Aina not playing a single minute for Torino since AFCON smae could be said for Ekong as Bassey is versatile and is playing CB better than the CB’s at his club in Rangers when called upon to fill that role for Balogun. Bassey definitely starts for me

Amoo is no DM. Why mention him in same breath as Ndidi, Etebo and Bonke? You should be talking Amoo when talking about Aribo.

I don’t think Aribo can do a good job against Ghana. That middle is going to be rugged and we need power midfielders.

        • Because I would Rather Have Etebo and Bonke covering behind Aribo. Amoo is definitely too inexperienced plus Bonke played against Cape Verde when we beat them in their home ground so he has experience even Onyeka can battle Bonke for that other DM spot. that is why I mentioned Amoo because of the 3 Midfielders in Samson list Amoo will drop for me. Coupled with the fact he is actually not a Midfielder he is more of Winger drifter and even in that position he is down the pecking order in that list.

Good lineup buttttttttttttt no way ighalo will not start.

    • @Mutum go and watch Chukwueze play with Osimhen Nigeria is very deadly when these two are on the pitch as they have the best understanding. they are so close right from their days in youth Setup. and in all honesty if you have Osimhen on the pitch you don’t need Ighalo. Osimhen is like Drogba he plays the top half of the field on his own. and with Chuks there it is deadly. Ighalo will be best utilized as a Super Sub.

  • Mutum 2 years ago

@ nwaanaa ugo iwunze…..am not disputing that fact bro..the gospel truth is with ighalo and osimehin upfront we will have chances and score goals. Chukwueze, has not been good for the eagles if u Wana hear the truth. personally,my line up will be
    Uzoho
    Aina
    Sanusi
    Bonke
    Ekong
    Balogun
    Simon
    Etebo
    Osimehin
    Aribo
    Ighalo.
And am sure this will be our lineup agianst Ghana.
Ighalo is needed,he will draw fouls, besides he is built for tough Ghana defense. Chukwueze can come in for ighalo, deniss can replace Aribo, while lookman can come in for Simon, bassy for balogun.

    • The best formation for Nigeria is to play 3 midfielders – any three of Bonke, Onyeka, Etebo, Aribo, and possibly Amoo (still highly unlikely). Simon, Ighalo and Osimhen. will most likely in the attack. Simon because he can also double up to cover the left back and play more like Rohr would always use him. Every new comer in the team will likely start from the bench.

  • Every body is overlooking Sadiq Umar. He’s one hustler that will run and run at the defenders and tire them out. If Austin know what he’s doing, Sadiq should start or come in very early in the second half. Had it been he started the match vs Tunisia, something for happen.
