Super Eagles Confirm Osimhen’s Injury

Super Eagles media officer, Babafemi Raji , has confirmed that Victor Osimhen sustained an injury in Napoli’s 3-2 win against Udinese last weekend.

Osimhen pulled out of Nigeria’s upcoming international friendly against Portugal as a result of the setback.

The 23-year-old has been widely criticised by fans who opined that he deliberately pulled out of the game.

Raji stated that Napoli have sent an MRI scans of the injury.

“Osimhen is injured,” he disclosed.

Yes, he played his team’s last game, but Napoli medics have sent MRI (scans) to the team.

“He will now undergo active rest for 15 days.”

Raji further stated that Osimhen is committed to playing for the Super Eagles.

“Osimhen is proud to play for the country right from his days with the youth team days,” he said.

“He’s like any Nigerian who wants to play for his country.”

Osihmen is healthy and sound…Its a big shame and disgrace to NFF. We all watched Osihmen played last weekend against Udinesse and was not substituted at all…he played for 90mins..NFF should sanction him because he’s not bigger than those in the camp for the friendly.. Without him we will move forward…we have Onuachu, moffi, dessers, Dennis and co…so let Osihmen go to hell..

Nff should sanction themselves first before looking for whom to sanction….leave the boy alone…..He’s indirectly telling the off to fix things asap. Very soon, other players would follow suit until there would be no one to play for the national team. Some of them are still being owed bonuses and you want him to come and play and inconsequential match.

Bro you don’t get it, nobody is forcing him to play but he shd be bold enough to quit the NT for good instead of making the coach look stupid, Toni Kroos quit the German NT with his full chest, you guys just trying to divert from the truth and making his action look good. Common.

Very big lie. The boy doesn’t want to get himself involved in an inconsequential, useless and unimportant match Whilst he gets an injury that would adversely affect is precious career While our mates are playing at the world cup , we are here playing useless friendly matches. The boy is not happy. He knows he ought to be at the mundial if not for the stupidity of those who are calling him to honor their invitation. The lad is protesting and y’all wicked idiots in the off know that. I see no reason why he himself has not come out to say that he’s injured. Una don’t resort to your usual damage control measures painted with lies. Shameless people.

Some of his recent exploits. SE fans have got reasons to be angry over the absence of their most prolific strikers. However, we must also know that with injury there’s nothing Osimhen can do for now. Let’s continue to put him in prayers before the WC qualifiers. God bless Nigerians.

We should please give Osimene a break. We should rather be attacking the Napoli president, who may have just started using bullying technique to deny African players from representing their countries, in line with his threat.
Osimene is a very dedicated warrior to SE/NIGERIA’S dream. How have we forgotten how despite his eye surgery, Osimene still showed up to go to last AFCON but sadly, instead of NFF / majority of fans giving him all the backing, they started asking he stayed away. THAT WAS WHERE WE SOLD OURSELVES SO CHEAPLY TO ALL OF THESE NASTY ANTICS THE NAPOLI PRESIDENT N CO ARE PLAYING.
I have a great sense that Osimene may have been bullied to stay away and considering the fact we have got bunch of classless football officials lack that political wits to fight his case should he get punished, he may have just decided to agree to stay away.

This is exactly what is happening to Osimhen. You have said it all. Thank you.

His love for the green and white is most amazing. I think it was just bad belle from a certain area with the mindset of having iheanacho there. No offense.

That’s a lie from tunde giving excuse for osimhen when you know the truth
That’s how you cover lies when the start misbehaving you NFF will be the first to complain it’s such character that keeps our country 100 years backwards from reality
