The 22-year-old is set to sign a four-year contract with the Cottagers once the deal is finalised.
Nwaiwu joined Trabzonspor from Austrian Bundesliga outfit Wolfsberger AC in January and wasted little time establishing himself as a key figure in the team’s defence with a string of impressive performances.
The centre-back registered three goals, and one assist in 16 league appearances for the Black Sea Storm.
He also played a pivotal role in Trabzonspor’s Turkish Cup triumph.
