  • Heard musa didn’t go with the team again, how true is this Pls.

    • Baddest 2 years ago

@femi yes musa lost a close family member today and was escused from the team to be with his family, he will eventually team up with the rest of the boys in cameroon, he will not be travelling with the rest of the squad today at 8pm

      • Thanks @baddest was actually thinking something else, that’s was a great relieve .

  • May be they should just cancel this AFCON self, 9 Senegal players positive already.

    • I lost interest in this Afcon just bcos some key players can’t join the team. Imagine Osimhen, Paul Onuachu and Desser to be part of Super Eagles team for this competition. No country in Africa would have been able to stand Nigeria.

But at the same time, this present team that is available still have our full support.

May God go with them and make their way prosperous.

      God bless Nigeria.

Onuachu!are you messing??A player that can’t even run please we are better off without him.Sadiq Umar and Olayinka are good additions you never know the replacement players could prove to be the real deal

        • Good day! Pls let’s support super Eagles and stop critic cos it won’t stop or change anything, humans are insatiable, never can they be pleased..You and I may like Mr XYZ to be part of the team, likewise others too..The best according to the coaches will represent the nation, despite clubs refusal to release some players and health challenges, remember this country is blessed with talents, more great players would be discovered during this AFCON, let’s pray and support the team…One love Naija.

O boy, Algeria is here teaching Ghana football.

    • Omoh 3-0

This Algerian team looks well drilled, understand one another, work for one another off and on the ball. No big man football, they just keep it simple and play with their head and heart. All day favorites to defend their title.

“…’I haven’t watched Dessers closely’ – Eguavoen explains why Feyenoord striker was omitted from AFCON squad….”

    Hahahahaha…these people can lie…..LMAOOOo.

The technical director of the Nigerian football federation has not been watching Cyriel Dessers closely….LMAOooo….the best Nigerian striker going by goals per game ratio so far this season – 9 goals in 758 mins of football (averageing 1 goal every 84 mins)…LMAOOooo.

I guess he also hasn’t been watching Kevin Akopguma, Calvin Bassey and Akin Amoo who were all in the initial 40 MAN provisional list closely too….LMAOoooo.

He must have been flying on chartered aircrafts weekly to Johannesburg in South Africa and Huesca in Spain to watch Ndah and Nwakali closely.

Mr (No)nonsense Technical Director cum Interim coach, please tell us, who else have you not been watching closely…? LMAOooo.

    • Baddest 2 years ago

Dr drey i gathered that dessers has been summoned to join up with the rest of the squad in cameroon, as a replacement for ighalo who cannot make it, because of the clause on his contract with al shabab

      • How true is this? I hope it’s real o. But on this Dessers matter ehn, Eguavoen is a total letdown.

It’s not a big deal to have your favourites, whether they be Nwakali or Ndah (at least we don’t have proof yet that you got kickbacks from them or not). Every manager has his choicest player whether based on sentiment or merit. But to flagrantly display this kind of ignorance as a manager is a big shame, coming from someone of his ilk. You have been technical director since God knows when.

Seeing as the squad depth doesn’t inspire confidence in anyway (midfield is too scant: if by any chance the SE go far in the tourney, the midfield will be spread thin and their performances will begin to ebb, the whole attack is a wild card since there’s no go-to player amongst them), I think they’d deserve a pat on the back if they get to the semis. I don’t see them going beyond the quarter final stage.

They can’t afford to cancel it sir.. not with the billions and logistics that has gone into it.. They will have to just follow protocols and everybody will be fine.

  • Super Eagle need solidarity now than before. Up Super Eagle

Looks like Eguaveon hates foreign born players. That’s why he’s blabbing rubbish about Dessers and Akpoguna. Thank God he’s a temporary coach. He will soon go away with his sentimental rubbish

    • Dr. Drey 2 years ago

Foreign born players are blocking avenue to sell market. Foreign born players dont do “yes sir”, “wehdone sir”, “happy weekend sir” to NFF officials. Foreign born players talk back when things are going wrong in camp yet Pinnick is coming to gloat in their team meetings. Foreign born players are less Nigerian than players born in Nigeria, hence have lesser rights to the super eagles. That is why they have tacitly chosen to scale down the number of foreign born players in the team considerably, under several guises…LMAOoo..one of them being “I’ve not been watching him closely”….LMAOooo. Its not mere coincidence. As they say in local parlance, No be mistake.

Now as a result of our own incompetence, We will be going to Cameroon with 27 players because the technical director of the Nigerian football federation has not been following the best goal per minute ratio Nigerian striker in the world at the moment Cyriel Dessers closely. Ighalo cannot be replaced any longer unless on health grounds. That’s one slot wasted already. That’s one CF short already. Talk about officials who do not under stand basic CAF rules. We just have to rely on the benevolence of Al Shabaab management to unsure we dont go the whole tournament short of 1 CF

Jamilu Collins’ whereabout is still unknown till today, by both the Coach and the FA. We are talking about a player who played his last game before Christmas not still in camp as at when the team flew to Garoua on the 5th of January. Yet the coach and the FA cannot tell where he is at the moment, no explanations whatsoever. There is a Calvin Bassey there who can even play LB, LWB, LM and CB eho could have come in as a last minute replacement. There is an Akopguma who can play RB, RWB and CB while Ola Aina shifts to the left to cover for Collins when the AWOL situation persisted. But No…they have resolved not to call them up…..LMAOooo. Maybe Eguavoen has not been following them closely too….LMAOoooo.

May God help them all….LMAOooo. Arrant incompetence and lack of organization. The silence here on this forum in the face of all these is deafening….LMAOooo….our “liberation fighters and harbingers of truth” cannot rant anymore like they used to rant before, now that they are seeing worse things happening than when the problem of our football (Rohr) was still in charge. The shabbiness in the way their owns have managed the affairs of the team thus far has drained so much blood out of them that they cant shout anymore…..LMAOOooo
