Super Eagles Star Reduces Own Fuel Station’s Pump Price To Help Nigerians

Super Eagles winger, Ahmed Musa has won the hearts of many Nigerians after he announced a reduction in the price of petrol in his own filling station.

It will be recalled that few days after Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) announced an increase of the petrol pump price to N617 per litre.

However the professional footballer made the announcement on his verified twitter page.

Via Twitter, Musa declares, “Fuel ⛽️ #580 @MYCA -7 Filling Station Kano 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️,” sparking excitement among Nigerians.

One Twitter user, Scala @lakaas123, excitedly enquired How manage Alhaji? N580 in Kano when not in Lagos? Are you whining us?” to which Musa replies, “That is what me I decide to sell my own 🤷‍♂️.”

In 2018, he purchased a filling station and was pictured personally filling up a tricycle.

He also owns a sports and fitness centre – which also features all-weather football pitches – in the northern region of Nigeria.

May Allah reward you abundantly, Musa. This is what the good person does for his people no matter where you come from. We are all Nigerians.

This is the time we need our billionaires in Nigeria to come out in numbers to help their people.

The politicians, as well as the musicians and all the celebrities, should do something.

Nigeria will be great if we love each other.

We shouldn’t be suffering like this, but our leaders and the citizens are the major problem. We are very selfish, and if we don’t take selfishness out of our system, here is the result.

We can’t be relying on individuals to take responsibility for the government.

From chancellors to chairmen, governors, reps, president, and so on, are they capable? Did we choose the right people to govern Nigeria? Ask yourself.

We have to put sentiment and tribalism aside and vote for the right people if we truly want a place we can call home.

Only a few people can afford three meals. Only the rich people enjoy Nigeria while the poor are suffering because of you politicians. There’s God, and the judgment day is coming.

Thank you, Mr. Musa. We appreciate you. May Allah bless you more. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!

We all know the problem we are facing in Nigeria, but one, Nigerians will say enough is enough. We are getting there, though.

  • While it is laudable Musa, in the long run when you want to restock at the current price, how long would your subsidy last? It is obvious you are apparently not making a profit unless it is the old stock.

  • God will reward you Musa for feeling the pain of the common man on the streets……If majority of privileged individuals in the society can have this kind of heart then Nigeria will be where we want it to be……God in his infinite mercies keep you and your family Armed Musa.

Shut up is he lying??? Musa that is seeking attention with this irrelevant news of fuel price. Shit hole indeed!!!

    • Data is cheap that’s why ppl. Of this nature can talk online. When fools comment u will know one. Why trying to abuse Musa here, what bring football retirement. young and better players in what Musa is doing to Nigerian?. Some people can abuse people in every little opportunity.

      • @Ken listen Bro if Musa wants to be a Philanthropist that’s great and Glory to God to him for that and more blessings and Greace to his elbow in this regard. However due to the fickle nature of the Nigerian Public which Musa know’s it is clear that he is doing most of this to buy peoples sympathy to his Super Eagles stay. Let us separate his Philanthropy from Football. HE IS NOT NEEDED IN Super Eagles again HE IS SURPLUS TO REQUIREMENTS AND HAS BEEN FOR A GOOD WHILE NOW

        • EZOMO 9 months ago

Read the post again na , does that relate to football matter? Must everything be related to football matter even when its obvious, its something different entirely

Musa is just 30 and you want him to retire, musa is a good guy and he is still better than ejuke and lookman in supereagles jersey, why are you putting him under preasure to retire, that was how you pushed him to retire from the saudi league because europe have brainwash our people to think europe is the only place football can be played, ahmed hassan of egypt was their best player even in old age and he was playing in saudi league, musa made big mistake listening to you guys by leaving the saudi league, most european clubs are looking for Young players to develop and sell them back to big teams, turkey in the other way doesnt treath players well, my advice to musa is to keep playing till he is no longer invited, he is a passionate and patrotic super eagle, if possible he should come to Enyimba where the supereagles vice coach is the boss, he can play in the caf championsleague and also captain the chan eagles, Etebo is currently clubless, he can also follow thesame step, their present in our league will increase the value of our league, Eyimba chance to go far in the caf championsleague and also give them eagles chance too, for example if the Nff demand for 3 home base players, musa and etebo will be available for that spot, i will advice both players to use their brain if they still want to win a melder with the supereagles, because i dont think the foreign base spot will be available for musa and etebo in the nest afcon,
@jimmyball, i prefer musa to the likes of awoniyi, moffi, sadiq, unuachu etc, these players are yet to prove to us that they are more relevant than musa in the supereagles, i dont think he has been blocking anybody chances, maybe in the future but not now.

    • @Collins Id you prefer Musa to Awoniyi. Awoniyi who single Handedly saved Nottingham forest from the drop. the ripple effect of that being Aina now signed for them because they stayed up… What did Musa achieve in Premier league when the league was even weaker than it is now, Let me tell you what he achieved. He achieved the most embarrassing stat for any International player being relegated to Under 23 team at Leicester City. @Collins Id. You people really need to catch a wake up call. Did you see waht Gift Orban is doing?. Is it that you people don’t like progress or you are just Cursed?. what sort of rubbish are you talking?. so we must stagnate the growth of quality talents to appease your selfish intrest of having Musa in SE until he is a 100years old?. God Forbid. Let me have you know Nigeria would even be Better off calling Obi Mikel out of retirement and handing him the Armband than Having Musa in that team talkless of Captaining it.

If Nigeria is serious national we will do away with Musa now and give his spot to Vic Moses ( A True Leader of that Super Eagles that is still active) and do away with Moses Simon and Give his spot to Gift Orban.

    • @Collins Id What are you talking Do you even follow Ball?.. Musa did not Leave Saudi on his own accord His Contract was terminated because he was surplus to requirement Get Your Facts Straight Mehn. After Saudi No club wanted him and he had to Move to Kano Pillars because of his connections while he Personally went from Club to club trials failling at a few I.e West Bromwich Albion until a lowly Team in Turkey took a chance on him still yet he could only manage a handful of Games as a substitiute. Dude Get your facts Straight

    • This is not the time or the log where we supposed to be condemning Musa. Under this very news, he deserves praise ‘though  580 is still high but compare to 620, it’s his loss. But let truth be told, A footballing nation that really want to move forward has to start preparing life without Musa. People keep saying he’s better than Lookman but the coach had never made mistake or starting him ahead of Lookman in any match. From Lookman’s 7 caps, he has scored, assisted and had even caused penalties.
Outside football, Musa is on the same par with Sadio Mane and Mo Salah but in the football world, it’s only in Nigeria that a fan will see Musa with his present form as a better player than Awoniyi, Moffi, Lookman and Sadiq even Stubborn Emmanuel  Dennis. It can never happen anywhere in the world.

      • I mean Imagine Comparing Musa to Lookman, Awoniyi and Sadiq Umar. that is tantamount complete sacrilege. It is like Some Nigerians don’t want Super Eagles to ever Succeed again. It is so SAD!. The fact that Nigerians are even debating this Shows clearly that Nigerians are quite clueless when it comes to what talent actually is. Umar Sadiq Was banging in goals in La Liga for UD almeria, lookman for Atalanta in Seria A. elevating them to 5th position. Awoniyi and Moffi we all see what they do. Yet Some Nigerians will prefer Musa to these young guns NAWA OOOOOOOO! it is even funny to think off.

        • Musa had his time and was like I said in the past relevant before but truth be told after 2018 he has been rubbish!. At both Club and Country.
          PERIOD!..

Let us not forget Musa has never been a Key player for Super Eagles the likes of Victor Moses, Mikel Obi, Emmanuel Emenike and Odion Ighalo have. Even Odion who came after Musa still surpassed Musa and Became a Key player for Super Eagles. Musa only saving grace is his Only 3 good Performances in a Super Eagles shirt against Argentina Wc 2014, 4 years later against Iceland WC 2018 and a AFCON Qualifier against South Africa in 2018. If we are to be honest with ourselves that is Ahmed Musa’s 3 good Performances for Nigeria that I remember.

  • Musa God bless you more.

  • Collins Id 9 months ago

@Ugo, awoniyi has been doing well for the past three seasons, despite this fact rohr and eguavon still opted for big belle ighalo and still played him ahead of awoniyi, nigeria is not nothinham forest and i dont have interest there, i am happy for him, just like oshoala and sadiq, they are club footballers, i loved these players during their youth days with under age eagles, but for the main team they dont have the mind and confidents in that jersey, if he didnt dey he didnt dey! awoniyi is the worse striker to ever head the eagles attack to the afcon and sadiq is the worse second option since 1914, makinwa was better than them, the only goal awoniyi scored hit his head by mistake and that is the only goal he have for eagles, what better chance can be better than afcon proper, a turnament were our strikers always battle for highest goal scorers, apart from the legend yekini, aghahuwa, ikpeba, agali, utaka, aiyegbeni, ike uche, odemwingie, aiyegbeni martins, nsofor, ogbuke, kalu uche, emenike, ighalo, ideye These guys did well playing for eagles, we were still not satisfied, You are here talking about players that doesnt record no shot on goal
When he, moffi, onouachu, comes in for osihmen even in games against lonely ranked teams, dont you see how useless they are, did you see awoniyi in the last serrieleone game, he came in everything spuel, no impact, it took saidu and iheanacho to save the day, the guy is not good at all, his body language tells he is not eagles material, he played a full afcon turnament with possibly no shot on goal, he was just running on and off the field struggling with simple hold up play.
At the moment we dont have a second striker, after osihmen, iheanacho is a second striker. gift orban and burniface, akpon, maja, dessers should be given their full chances before i can judge, though i have hope in burniface and orban, the rest of them i am not too convince. May be moffi can still come up to terms with eagles, but for awoniyi, sadiq and unuachu even if they sign for madrid i still prefer musa ahead of them.

Poverty has messed us Nigerians so much that we have forgotten our sense of purpose… What connects philanthropy with field activity in football?

We all know Musa us kind but he has become a politician… Someone said Musa is just 30yrs old… dude is nothing less than 35yrs in actuality. He used to be a key player for us only when he played for CSKA Moscow. He is a spent force now and should allow people like Boniface and Orban come into the team…

I am not sad anymore because Peseiro knows he has nothing more to offer… He has been to world cup, won AFCON and amassed over 100 caps but even he knows he is not needed anymore… as a captain why isn’t he starting games? He can’t win us the World Cup so let him just take the high road and exit the team for us to start proper rebuilding.

He is using influence to force himself on the team now… If we need to have a northerner there is Sadiq Umar and Alhassan Yusuf who are worthy players now. Musa’s case now is just like having cut off for Unity Schools entrance pegged at 2 points out of 209 points for a boy from zamfara while a girl from Anambra requires like 159 out of 200 marks.

We can’t move forward as a nation with mediocrity and hypocrisy. Musa is a good man but not so much a top player that is needed anymore in Eagles.

    • EZOMO 9 months ago

But look at the post na does that look like a football related post? Why did u ask such question when u know that the post is purely on philanthropic issue

  • Larry 9 months ago

Nice one Ahmed Musa. No need to worry about comments from some people whose mentalities have been completely depleted with hatred. Why attach the only player with the sole honor of the highest goal in the WC for SE. Why attack him and not the coaches for getting invited to SE,
The same classless minorities saw nothing wrong in the continously invitations of the two GKs whose howlers got the team dumped out of the Nation’s cup and WC within a year.
The same dummies will ignore Chukwuezes and Iheanacho inconsistencies and attack Awoniyi and Sadiq. You guys need help, statically Awo has a better goal and assists in the Super Eagles than Chukzzy or Nacho. How many matches did it take Osi9 to score his first goal for SE ? Besides Awo and Osi hold the record ad the players that have scored for all national teams.
On the global stage, only super stars like Awoniyi have the capacity of scoring against great teams like Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal in the same season.

    • @Larry Musa has never been a Key player for Super Eagles he was a substitute player for most part and a FLASH IN THE PAN PLAYER, 1 Good Performance followed by 5 poor ones. The likes of Victor Moses, Mikel Obi, Emmanuel Emenike and Odion Ighalo have.

@Igo, nobody is underestimating the contributions of these heroes but to come online and denigrate so low on a Nationa hero should never be allowed.

        • National Hero Ko National hero ni. Wc 2014 what did Musa Perform after his 2 goals against Argentina?. How about Moses and Emenike and Mikel what was thier performances in That tournament?. In 2018did Musa perform after ICeland. Infact go and look at Musa performance against Argentina following that Iceland game.

Guy it is only in Nigeria where you will be giving free rain in a team because of a performances you did 8 years ago. Nawa oooo. Because Nigeria and Nigerians don’t know the definition of progress or progression.

    • Awoniyi, Iheanacho, Sadiq and co all these players you speak off A way more talented than Musa is and will create more problems for teams than Musa can and break teams down and they will be more consistent. Chukwueze you speak off is about to sign for AC Milan and is considered a Villareal Legend at just 23 years of age. SO take that shit to the bank dude

@Ugo, don’t mind that Jingoist Larry. We know his northern agenda. He will fail. You Ugo are one of the few people who make me come here to comment. There is none like you in football matters.

        • @Arara Kumbie bro thanks. I belief in Saying it as it is. Because In doing so I wish that our combined voice will be heard and reason met. Because mehn our Football will be worse than that of Seychelles if this type things continues.

    • Arara Kumbie 9 months ago

Your tribalism knows no bounds. You just criticised goalkeepers and strikers because of your zealotry tendencies. Repent your ways. You keep lickin Musa’s boots. The national team is not for only northerners.

    • @Larry Name a highlight of Musa besides WC 2014 Argentina and Iceland in 2018? oya lets hear.

      • Larry 9 months ago

@Ugo, you can do better than this. You don’t need a tunneling microscope to decipher my opinion on Musa.

  • Larry 9 months ago

I don’t see any tribalistic views in my comment, it is just a fact. It’s either you are one of those who cry foul for offense they committed or you just don’t get it.
If you saw nothing wrong in the comments I responded to, then you are part of those who don’t mean we’ll for the country.
