Go the SE. Peseiro, it’ll be a test of whether you’ve shed off this strange and retrogressive soccer philosophy you imbibed from Oga Mourinho. It is completely anti-soccer and anti-Nigerian. Pack the bus and you’ll be shamed by Argentina. A tornado would repeatedly bang through the wall, smashing it into smithereens. And South Africa will learn one or two things.
According to this article, Nigeria only ever defeated Argentina twice.
I think we defeated Argentina once in Abuja under Siasia and once in Russia under Rohr.
Anyways we move.
Yes bro, we have defeated Argentina twice as you stated, 4-1 and 4-2 respectively, we have also drawn once, in 1995, FIFA confederation Cup ,
( 0-0)
PLAYERS LIKE:
GIFT ORBAN, EJUKE, DESSERS, MADUKA OKOYE, TELLA, AKPOM SHOULD BE INVITED & TESTED THIS TIME AROUND.
MUSA should quit and apply for coaching job.
PREPARATION FOR NEXT AFCON 2025 & WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS SHOULD START NOW!!!!!!!!!!
We defeated them thrice. We beat them at the Olympics as well.
What of Atlanta 96????
Atlanta 96 was not Super Eagles but u23 with 3 overaged players.
Complete sports correct yourself oooo…..
We’ve defeated Argentina twice not once.
Thanks.
Nigeria defeated Argentina twice and not ones as speculated by complete sports ,and this time around Nigeria will beat them again.
We have plaged Agentina 9 times, 5 World cup and 4 friendly matches
Argentina has won 6, Nigeria won 2 ans we drew 1.
I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THESE GUYS PLAY AGAIN…ALSO, I’LL LIKE TO SEE NEW FACES IN THE AREA WE LACK GOOD LEGS DURING THE AFCON….CREATIVE MILDFIELDERS…
That is the team’s achillies heel with was so obvious in run up.to.the tournament and then the final. Some old legs need to be dropped (Musa) regardless they have yet to announce retirement and some new legs need to be tested (Ifeanyi Matthews, Nwakali etc) I am sure we can find some very good creative midfielders in the local league. We need at least 3 or 4 bcuz I don’t see what players like Aribo bring to the team. We need Impact sub players!
I will love to go see this game. Time to begin preparing in ernest for the WorldCup qualifiers. We must reclaim the top spot in June against SA and Benin Republic.
Super Eagles need creative attcking midfielder just as Fisayo Dele Bashiru who plays excellent through balls , he just needs from Peseiro if remains as SE coach to change SE formation just as to play with 4-2-3-1 or 4-5-1 so he can be creative attcking midfielder who can grant forwards through ball in the depth of centre; also Peseiro must summon Ifeanyi Matthew as strong defensive midfielder, Chuba Akpom, cyriel Dessers to the friendly match versus Argentina in the next march and South Africa for the World Cup 2026 qualifier in 11 march.
This match comes at the right time to test Amunike and his assistants capabilities if NFF will consider our own.
Coach Paseiro hasn’t convinced me against big teams like Portugal, not to talk of teams like Saudi Arabia and Portugal.
In my own opinion, instead of continuing with such a coach, we should rather give Amunike that understands the game of football much better than coach Paseiro.
The coach was lucky, and he relied on luck until he got exposed in the final against the Ivory coast.
My Nigerians people, please let’s welcome our own once again. This time around, NFF should give Amunike free hand to choose his assistants. NFF should let the wise man do his job to the best of his ability.
NFF should please test Amunike ability against Argentina. Doing so, Nigerians will be sure of what to expect from our own.
The wise man, Amunike, is the best for the job. If the wise man could lead an unknown Tanzania to Afcon and did his best with a weaker team like Tanzania that has no players of Super Eagles calibers.
Amunike will definitely rebuild Super Eagles to our taste. Let’s be patient. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!
