Nigeria’s Super Falcons will begin preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations with the opening of their training camp in Casablanca on Monday (today), Completesports.com reports.
Head coach Justine Madugu named a 25-player squad for Nigeria’s title defence last Friday, with all invited players expected to arrive in camp on Monday.
The nine-time African champions will use the Casablanca camp to fine-tune their preparations before travelling to Rabat, where they will play their Group C fixtures.
Madugu’s side will be aiming to secure a record-extending 11th WAFCON title at the tournament in Morocco.

The Super Falcons have been drawn in Group C with debutants Malawi, Zambia, and Egypt.
The West Africans will face the Scorchers of Malawi in their opening fixture at the Al Madina Stadium, Rabat on Tuesday, 28 August.
Nigeria’s second group against the Copper Queens of Zambia will also hold at Al Madina on Saturday, 1 August.
The Super Falcons will take on Egypt in their last group game at the Olympic Stadium, Rabat on Wednesday, 5 August.
The WAFCON 2026 will also serve as the African qualification tournament for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil. The four highest-placed teams at the tournament will qualify automatically for the global showpiece.
