Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé was identified as one of 26 high-profile targets in an alleged kidnapping and criminal plot uncovered by French authorities.
According to Le Parisien, French police arrested an 18-year-old suspect identified as Clément L. (also known by the alias “Lester Z”).

The teenager was already being held in detention for armed robbery but allegedly continued running a criminal network from his cell using smuggled mobile phones and Snapchat.
Prison guards seized two phones containing the personal information and addresses of 26 wealthy individuals, including footballers, rappers, jewellers, and international businessmen.
Investigators emphasize that Mbappé’s name appeared on a list of potential future targets rather than in connection with an actual, executed abduction attempt.
French authorities are currently working to determine how far the planning had progressed before the ring was disrupted.

However, Clément L. has been placed in solitary confinement, while his alleged accomplice was released under judicial supervision.
A prosecutor stated that the young man had previously been imprisoned for serious crimes, and that solitary confinement was deemed appropriate given his erratic criminal behavior
