Nathan Tella is a major doubt for Bayer Leverkusen’s Bundesliga home clash against Hamburg due to injury, Completesports.com reports.
Tella missed last weekend’s 3-1 defeat to VfB Stuttgart due to a muscle strain.
According to Kicker, Bayer Leverkusen are sweating on the fitness of the Nigerian international, and striker Christian Kofane.
Kofane, a Cameroonian sustained a shoulder injury against Stuttgart.
Tella has struggled with injuries this season, which has forced him to miss 17 matches.
The 26-year-old has scored one goal, and registered four assists in 17 league appearances for Die Werkself.
Kasper Hjulmand’s side must beat Hamburg, and hope that VfB Stuttgart and Hoffenheim lose in order to secure their place in next season’s UEFA Champions League.
