Ten Hag, Eriksen Bemoan Man United Loss To West Ham

Manchester United coach Ten Hag and midfielder Christian Eriksen have bemoaned the Red Devils’ 1-0 Premier League defeat to West Ham on Sunday, May 7 at the London Stadium.

Algerian winger, Said Benrahma’s 27th minute strike won the game for West Ham.

Ten Hag expressed disappointment at the result of the match.

“Of course we are really disappointed, as you see,” Manutd.com quoted Ten Hag as saying

“So the game, I think we started well, I think in the first half we played well and created good opportunities and then one mistake -it was a turnaround in the game.”

Meanwhile, Eriksen also lamented the inability of the Red Devils to finish off their chances.

“I think there’s been a theme in a lot of the games we’ve played this season,” Eriksen said

“We’ve had a lot of chances to finish the game early which unluckily we haven’t done. You can see that today. I’m sure for the next five games we’ll have the energy to finish in a strong way.”

Eriksen has a tally of one goal and seven assists in 24 Premier League games this season.

The Red Devils are fourth position on the Premier League table with 63 points from 34 matches.

Up next for United is a game with Wolves on Saturday, May 13 at Old Trafford.
