Barcelona forward, Ansu Fati, has stated that the club’s goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen was fantastic in their Supa Copa de Espana (Spanish Super Cup) semi-final win against Real Betis.
The Blaugrana (Blue and Red) overcame Real Betis 4-2 on penalties after a 2-2 draw on Thursday, January 12 at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh.
Poland striker Robert Lewandowski’s goal gave Barcelona the lead in the 40th minute and Nabil Fekir equalised for Real Betis in the 77th minute.
Ansu Fati restored Barcelona’s lead in the 93rd minute of extra time, but Lorenzo Garcia made it 2-2 in the 101st minute which took the game to penalties.

Fati hailed Ter Stegen’s performance in the encounter.
“He’s a crack, he’s shown it in this game again and I’m happy for him,” BarcaBlaugranes quoted Fati as saying.
“It was a difficult game, Betis are a great team and in the end, we won on penalties. The important thing is that we are in the final.”
Ter Stegen has played 16 Laliga games for FC Barcelona this season.
Barcelona play Real Madrid in the Supercopa de Espana final on Sunday, January 15 at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh.
The Catalans are currently first in the Laliga table after accumulating 41 points from 16 games.
