Terem Moffi Pleased As Lorient Win Relegation ‘Dogfight’

Nigeria forward Terem Moffi was delighted to see Lorient escape relegation on the final day of Ligue 1 season , Completesports.com reports .

Lorient secured an important 1-1 draw at Strasbourg on Sunday night to maintain their top-flight status a year after gaining promotion from Ligue 2.

Habibou Mouhamadou Diallo headed the home side in front at the Stade de la Meinau after just 18 minutes, but Trevoh Chalobah equalised for the visitors ten minutes after the interval.

Christophe Pélissier’s side finished in 16th position on the table with 42 points from 38 games.

” A bitter sweet season 😅😅 but we accomplished our objective as a team,”Moffi wrote on his Twitter handle.

The 21-year-old scored 14 goals in 32 league appearances for Lorient during the campaign.
