Things Going From Bad To Worse For Real New-Boy

Real Madrid have been hit by the news Luka Jovic has aggravated an injury problem while on international duty with Serbia. The exact nature of the injury and the full extent of the damage have yet to be revealed, but it will still be a concern for Los Blancos, who have a number of injury issues.

Jovic limped out of the clash with Portugal, and the Serbian FA later released the following statement. “In the game against Portugal he suffered a relapse from an injury he was suffering from when he joined up with the national squad, and having been examined by the medics, it has been determined that he won’t be able to play  this Tuesday against Luxembourg.”

That would suggest he has been struggling with an injury while with the Spanish giants, but there have been no such indications coming from the Real camp.

Jovic has featured three times for Real since they paid Eintracht Frankfurt £53million for his services in the summer, but the striker has yet to score.

There has also been talk that boss Zinedine Zidane has not been impressed with what he has seen in training since his arrival – and even considered loaning him out before the closure of the transfer window.

This latest injury then is the last thing the player needs as he looks to change Zidane’s mind and prove himself at the Bernabeu.
Real are already missing Eden Hazard, Isco, Marco Asensio, James Rodriguez and Brahim Diaz as they head into Saturday’s home game with Levante.
