Amoo May Miss Eagles’ 2023 AFCON Qualifiers, Friendlies Due To Injury

Copenhagen FC winger Akinkunmi Amoo will likely not be part of the Super Eagles squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in June, as well as the upcoming friendlies against Mexico and Ecuador due to injury.

Copenhagen coach Jess Thorup confirmed that the club’s former Under-19 Boys League star will not play for them again this season due to a sprain in his thigh.

Amoo has not played for the club since March, and has made only two appearances for them since he joined from Hammarby in January this year.

“Amoo has got a sprain in the back thigh and is, as it looks now, out for the rest of the season,” Thorup said in quotes relayed by bold.dk.

The talented 19-year-old got his first call up to the senior national team in March for the two-legged 2022 World Cup playoff against the Black Stars of Ghana in March.

He, however, did not get any minute under his belt in both matches.

@ Jimmyball, please can you correlate your conclusion or if I may say your understanding with the fact that many of our black brothers who ordinarily, maybe due to status, looks or being poor, our Nigerian/black girls will wave aside with stern warning to stay far, when approached, same brothers, being taken into marriage with very successful beautiful white female. And not only that these white girls are very successful in their career, be it in the IT, banking, education etc, they show unbelievable respect for their Nigerian/black husband, even humble themselves as to constantly visit their African villages to spend time with these Nigerian/Black brothers aging parents supporting and uplifting the entire family.
Maybe you have not seen but I have witnessed loads of cases, even have one as close friend.
