Tielemans Is Liverpool Bound -Phillips

Liverpool defender, Kevin Phillips has revealed that Leicester City has little power to stop Youri Tielemans from joining the Reds this summer.

Tielemans, who is known for scoring a powerful long-range shot against Chelsea in the final of the FA Cup, has become Liverpool’s number one target in the transfer window.

However, in a chat with Football Insider, Phillips stated that Liverpool is determined to acquire Tielemans in order to bolster their squad.

“I think everyone is available for the right price,” Phillips told Football Insider’s Dylan Childs.

“I don’t think Brendan Rodgers would want Tielemans to go but I think when Liverpool come knocking at your door and speak to your agent, then the player is going to listen and is probably going to want to go.

“Especially now that Leicester won’t be getting Champions League football next year after just missing out while Liverpool have, that’s a big, big draw for any player.

“So if Liverpool were to make enquiries and make an offer then it could be one of those where it’s hard to stop the player going and turn the deal down, so it will be an interesting one.”

You know he won the player of the season, right? In my opinion, he’ll be missed. But, they’ll move on just as they moved on from Mahrez and Kante.

      • Tielaman is a bench wormer in the Belgian squad and I don’t see him currently as a key player for the foxes. Brendon Rogers has told Leicester management not to sell players this season. So for Tielaman to be allowed leave shows he will not be really missed.

Why is Ndidi not getting such offers too?
