Tite: I’m Worried Brazil Needs To Play Better

Brazil national team head coach, Title says he’s worried the Selecao ain’t playing well enough to expectation, completesports.com reports.

Tite spoke at the pre match match press conference in Singapore on Saturday ahead Sunday’s international friendly match against Nigeria.

“I am worried because the team needs to play better”, Tite said.

“We feel this demand and we are pressured. We need to have a good balance between attack and defense.

“It is necessary to improve, in special (particular) our defense.

“We have suffered (conceded) goals in the last three matches”, Title lamented.

Back home, Tite’s Selecao have come under intense backlash for not putting up performances commensurate to their COPA America champions status.

Brazil’s 17-match unbeaten run was erased by Peru who handed them a 1-0 defeat, courtesy of Luis Abram’s 84th minute goal.

That defeat was followed by a scrappy 2-2 on September 7 in Miami with Casemiro and Neymar scoring to cancel out Luis Muriel’s brace.

On Thursday in Singapore, the Selecao once again consoled themselves with a 1-1 draw against 2019 AFCON silver medalists, Senegal with the Brazilian fans now heaping all manner of criticisms on Tire’s men going into Sunday’s clash against Nigeria’s Super Eagles.

The Selecao’s back line has more often received criticisms for letting in goals at will and under less intensive pressure.

But Tite refuses to pick out his rear men for public hit.

“System mark, position, mark function. It is not the defense. Function of each, organize in a balanced way.

“Creation, conclusion, solidity. With ball, without ball. (If) it runs away from these principles, (it) becomes more vulnerable and can lead to uneasiness.

“There was time for us to seek opportunities. Opportunities lateral supporter.

“These adjustments, irregularities, the phase allows. It’s a learning. Inevitable. The first one, inclusive”, Tite explained.
