Torino have reportedly rejected a £52million bid from West Ham for their leading marksman and captain Andrea Belotti. Turin-based Tuttosport claim Torino president Urbano Cairo has rebuffed the ‘super offer’ for the 25-year-old Italian international forward.
Belotti – nicknamed The Rooster – scored 26 Serie A goals for Torino three seasons ago but has managed only 25 in the past two campaigns combined. West Ham are looking to sign a goalscorer because Manuel Pellegrini’s options up front have been reduced this summer.
Andy Carroll has been allowed to leave and the Hammers accepted a bid from Chinese Super League club Shanghai SIPG for Marko Arnautovic. Valencia beat the club to the signing of Maxi Gomez earlier this month, but talks have been ongoing with Eintracht Frankfurt over a potential £35million deal for Sebastian Haller.
