KAA Gent defender, Jordan Torunarigha has opened up on why he decided to represent the Super Eagles ahead of Germany.

Recall that Torunarigha has represented Germany at the youth level and was part of the country’s U-23 team at the last Olympic Games in Tokyo.

However, in an interview with RAN, he stated his major goal is to be part of the Nigerian team at the 2026 World Cup.”

“I have given it a lot of thought”

“My father has already played for the Nigerian national team, so I’m really happy that I can follow in his footsteps now.

“My goal is to be part of the Nigerian team at the 2026 World Cup.”

His father, Ojokojo was also a former footballer and also represented Nigeria in the past.

Lies it’s because Germany doesn’t care about you, the last time you said no to Rhor.

    • There is no way he will make the German team playing for Gent hence the sudden love for Nigeria…..He turned Nigeria down when he was at Hertha Berlin……Next thing now is to bribe his way to getting a slot in the Nigerian team……just they watch

Exactly CS should be exposing them at least.

Good development. wether he once rejected us or not, he’s better than those playing in Ukraine, Libya, Vietnam, even NPFL.
Playing outside Germany is an opportunity for him to reject them now. The likes of Victor Moses, Lookman, Akpoguma, etc once rejected naija.
With Balogun, Ekong, Omeruo, Ajayi heading to the exit door very soon, I personally welcome this.
As a Left footed central back, he’ll be a good addition to the team.
There’s another Osho, a left footer in Luton town FC , we’ll be opportuned  to see him next season. He already sees himself as a Nigerian international. With…
    *Tosin Adarabioyo
    *Kelvin Akpoguma
    *Jordan Torunarigha
    *Calvin Bassey
    *Gabriel Osho
    The future is bright.
Remain for our handlers to select well when the time comes.
