Cenk Tosun says he will continue to battle for his place in the Everton first-team as doubts surround his future at Everton. The Turkey international has struggled to play regular first-team football since arriving from Besiktas in a big-money deal, and there have been constant reports linking him with a return to his homeland.

There is no shortage of interest from other countries as well, and there is sure to be further speculation over his future when the transfer window re-opens in the summer. However for now, he is happy where he is, and is keen to force his way into Marco Silva’s plans. “I have a lot to do in the Premier,” the 27-year-old Tosun said.
“I still have a three-and-a-half year contract with Everton. “I want to continue in Europe. My aim is to play more. I had offers from Spanish and English clubs. I told the club I am ready to go out on loan to return stronger, but they told me they needed me here.”
