  • Welldone bro . you are the best . please coach don’t resign. Many Africa teams are waiting to sign you please stay with the eagles love you

  • The only positive thing from this match is that the SE didn’t cave in after their early goal. I wish they had done that against Argentina or Algeria.

William Ekong has had a great AFCON tournament. I was surprised at how much he was criticised and rated low after the Algerian game. Fact is, watching the Algerian game dispassionately, Troost-Ekong had a great performance bar the unfortunate own goal. The performance against Tunisia only tops the one of the Algerian game, conforming Ekong’s class.

    • For me the own goal is Akpeyi’s fault. Immerging Uzoho on post, that ball wouldn’t have entered net.

5 players of the Nigerian team have won the man of the match award in this competition, isn’t this a positive development for Nigerian football? Isn’t it a sign that Nigerian football is on the right trajectory? All that the team requires is patience and time. Mahrez after playing against us attested that the super eagles would be a force to reckon with in 2years time if they are kept together and u know what, he has just spoken the gospel truth that some wicked people do not want to hear. Disband this team or change the coaching crew and see how our football would crash completely. Troost ekong had a bad day in the office against Algeria (just like every other player) but was able to to recover and make amends and So did the entire team. This is what is called experience, u can only get it when u make mistakes and try to learn from them or from others. A Wise man learns from experience. Here he is today, bagging the man of the match award in his first afcon with a very important goal to put the icing on the cake. Congrats boy, u guys are indeed destined for greatness.

The truth is one needs not to be highly rated coach to succeed with a team but luck if not why Special one Joe failed with Man U.Eagles played better than before under Rohr at least Nigerians now have a positive result to look up to whenever Eagles play. Remember the players are young and need time to grow and mature. It took westerholf 5yrs to raised a formidable team of 94. Let give Rohr time to succeed.
