William Troost-Ekong, Wilfred Ndidi, Asisat Oshoala were among players that modelled the Nigerian national teams new Nike home and away kits, reports.
The Nigeria Football Federation officially announced the launching of the new kits published on their verified Twitter handle on Sunday.
Other players who modelled the kits are Samuel Chukwueze and Rashidat Ajibade.
The new home kit comes in traditional green and white national colours. The white runs down the middle from top to bottom while the pitch green and white patterns hang on the shoulders just like an Agbada, a four-piece attire found among the Yoruba of southwestern Nigeria which Nike draws inspiration from.
Then the away kit is all-grey with the pitch green and white patterns in the V-shaped collar and sleeves.
The Eagles are expected to dorn the new kit in their double-header friendly games against Cote d’Ivoire and Tunisia in October.

Yeye kit, moreover that guy there is not Ndidi. We still love our former kit jooo
@Yinkus , he is Indidi…ive seen him on twitter before now
New year, new Nike kit equals more truckloads of dollars for Pinnick & co. Continue. Next year, introduce another one. Las las, they will still audit una books after una tenure.
Which kind of corruption Jersey is this? This is Jersey Is ordinary, main for street football.
What is going on here Nigerians. What kind of jerseys NFF made for Super Eagles this year?
This is absolutely no no no. For me, NFF have failed woefully on this one 100%.
We have designers all over Nigeria that can make
beautiful and better jerseys for our darling Super Eagles that NFF would send two copies of those jerseys to NIKE if they did not have any design at the moment instead of these ones.
Nobody complained about 2018 home jerseys from NIKE but for these ones? Capital NO.. NO….NO…. God bless Nigeria!!!
Oga, go and sit down. That jersey is one of the best ever. Stop criticitizing aimlessly and recklessly.
This kit is fantastic.
Fantastic and lovely kits.
… I don’t have any feel for this kit. Very strange colors and too much design. Keep Jersey design simple and cute.. black neck collar, I feel black should have no place on our color. We have very good designers in Nigeria… Keep it simple to our traditional colors. We could even design jersey and add new ideas that were old but very historic. There were times in the past when Nigeria uses the green pattern of former Netherlands orange jersey during the old days of Gulit and Van Basten. It can be brought bought and some idealistic touch to the shorts. In my opinion we should be using something way better than this agbada-motivated style…
God bless you more @JimmyBall. The home kit looks childish to me and the away jersey looks more matured aside from the colour.
Argentina and Brazil will never changed their national colour because other changed theirs. Why Nigeria?
NFF don’t value our national colour and this is very disrespectful to our nation.
As I said above, we have so many great designers in Nigeria that can produce new ideas that better than these two kits.
@Olupotan, you can see now that you have know idea of what I said earlier?
Am I the only one talking about the new kits now?
Bro Olupotan, I don’t talk any how. I have my own reasons concerning the new kits.
Let’s wait and see the kits on our players and you will understand that I knew what I’m talking about.
NFF doesn’t care because of the money that going into their pockets but we are. We are not dummy. We didn’t complain when they redesigned the home kits that went viral again Iceland in Russia.
But this year kits, Hmmm. It is well. God bless Nigeria!!!
I meant to say you have no idea.
However, It is our right to let Mr. Pinnick know that he and his company can’t just do things just anyhow because Nigeria belongs to all of us.
We are proud of our national Green White Green Nigeria flag. Enough of unusual colours and unpresentable designs. We deserve the best. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!
@omo9ja, And u forgot to add ” why didn’t rohr suggest to Nike a better design that would suit his team and why doesn’t the team have jersey design advisers”. Just wanted to help you out, maybe u forgot to include the aforementioned line in your initial post. I’ll always be here to always lend u a helping hand even when you forget some very “important” lines. Lol
This kit is poor. Why all this design for???? why can’t we just revert back to the Simple Original Super Eagles Colour Depicted from our flag. is it because other people(Foreign FANS) who are not Nigerian raved about the World Cup Colours? which, in my opinion also was not a depiction of our original colours that the World Feared.
What is the Identity of this Country Sef??. In My opinion this kit is a a Big Fail.
Omo9ja you spoke sense here, Nike will never change England’s, Brazil, France or Hollands identity why must they play with ours? what is our kit their experimental tool???. Even Adidas respects the Spanish and German kit Identity.
why can’t Nike they just keep it simple and stick to our traditional colours like they do with the countries I mentioned. I blame the NFF for this nonsense these Kits are a BIG FAIL
This is quite funny lol.
Oakfield, how many did I call you? If I’m not mistaken, once abi?
Go and lend yourself a helping hand first before helping others. Your partner which used to be my pikin have learned a lot from elders lol. So, be careful ok. Good. God bless Nigeria!!!
