Turkey Fantasy — Tips for Gameweek 16

Turkey Fantasy — Tips for Gameweek 16

Welcome to 2021! A new year, filled with opportunities to climb up that leaderboard. Here are some players that can help you do that.

Below you’ll find the crème de la crème of this week’s fantasy studs, provided to you by the masterminds behind Fantezi Futbol Türkiye.

Flash Players

Bernard Mensah (Beşiktaş, Midfielder)

After his performance of 5 goals, 8 assists and 3 earned penalties in 25 games for Kayserispor last season, Bernard Mensah made his big move to Beşiktaş. At the beginning of the season, we observed that Menash was taking the ball in all set-pieces. However, Ghanaian player handed over penalty kicks to Aboubakar and corners & free-kicks to Ghezzal in the following games. Considering that these two players are topping goalscoring and assisting table, we have to admit that Sergen Yalçın’s choice hit the target. This week Beşiktaş will play against Kayserispor and neither Aboubakar nor Ghezzal will play in this game due to their ban and injury. So, Mensah is the primary option for all the set-pieces. Even this factor is enough to pick Mensah for our squads this week.

Key Stats (per game): Crosses: 0.5 / Shots: 1.8 / Key Passes: 1.2

Max Gradel (Sivasspor, Midfielder)

Sivasspor lost their 3 key players (Emre Kılınç, Mert Hakan Yandaş, Fernando Andrade) to their opponents after a successful season last year. They replaced these players with the transfers of Robin Yalçın, Faycal Fajr, Max Gradel, Olarenwaju Kayode and Jorge Felix. Within these new signings, Max Gradel have made a significant performance. He had 3 goals & 2 assists in Turkish Süper Lig and 1 goal & 1 assist in Europa League so far this season. He also takes the ball in direct free-kicks. This week’s Denizlispor game at home might also be a good opportunity for him to pursue his good performance and contribute by goals or assists.

Key Stats (per game): Crosses: 1.2 / Shots: 2.2 / Key Passes: 1.2

Dimitrios Pelkas (Fenerbahçe, Midfielder)

Before his last minute signing to Fenerbahçe, Pelkas played in Champions League elimination rounds for PAOK. He made a significant performance with 2 goals in 4 games in these elimination rounds. He became one of the fans’ favourite with his early performances. He might have increased his stats of 2 goals & 2 assists if he was luckier with the VAR decisions and woodworks. However, Pelkas hasn’t contributed his team for a while in terms of goals and assists. This week’s Kasımpaşa game is an opportunity for him to continue his goals and assists.

Key Stats (per game): Crosses: 0.2 / Shots: 2.4 / Key Passes: 1.0

Muhammet Demir (Gaziantep FK, Forward)

Muhammet Demir is one of the most important factors for Gaziantep FK’s run without losing for 13 games. He has scored 6 goals and made 4 assists in 13 games so far this season. They are going to play against Erzurumspor this week who are the only team without a home win. Although Erzurumspor’s coach change and recent away win, we expect Muhammet Demir to be a top performer this week.

Key Stats (per game): Shots: 1.0 / Key Passes: 0.7

Surprise Pick

Daniel Candeias (Gençlerbirliği, Midfielder)

Daniel Candeias’ 3 goals & 2 assists of performance in one game put his name in fantasy football history as the most points won player in one game. Although his team’s below par performances, he seems as the only player who contributes permanently for the recent weeks. He scored two goals in last 4 games and he is also a regular set-piece taker. If you want to pick a player against Rizespor, we recommend Candeias this week.

Key Stats (per game): Crosses: 2.2 / Shots: 1.8 / Key Passes: 1.9

Recommended Teams for Player Picks

Beşiktaş

After 7 wins in last 8 games with an average of 2.75 goals per game, Beşiktaş is very close to continue their run against Kayserispor who haven’t won in last 9 games. Cyle Larin, Atiba Hutchinson, Bernard Mensah, Valentine Rosier and Domagoj Vida might be the suitable picks from Beşiktaş this week.

Galatasaray

Süper Lig’s leader will play against Antalyaspor, who conceded 6 goals last week, at home. Galatasaray is one of the best performing teams at home. On the contrary, Antalyaspor haven’t won on away games so far. Emre Kılınç, Okan Kocuk, Marcelo Saracchi, Younes Belhanda, Arda Turan, Oğulcan Çağlayan and if he playes, Radamel Falcao might be suitable picks from Galatasaray this week.
