Frantic is the word when it comes to the Süper Lig nowadays. There’s a new gameweek every other day and with it some new picks for your squad!
Below you’ll find the crème de la crème of this week’s fantasy studs, provided to you by the masterminds behind Fantezi Futbol Türkiye.
Flash Players
Papy Djilobodji (Gaziantep FK, Defender)
Senegalese defender started to play in Turkish Süper Lig last season. He made a significant performance with his 6 goals & 2 assists & 5 clean sheets in 2019 / 2020 season after he joined Gaziantep FK. We should also mention that coach Sumudica assigned him with OOP (out of position) roles in some of the last season’s games. He involves in every dead-ball organisation with his attacking skills. Gaziantep FK has not been losing for 14 games and this is the longest run without losing this season. They have been still staying within top 5 rankings and will play against Ankaragücü this week. Ankaragücü has been performing well during the recent weeks however they have only 1 away win this season.
Considering all the above facts, we expect Papy Djilobodji to be one of the top performer this week.
Key Stats (per game): Crosses: 0.0 / Shots: 0.7 / Key Passes: 0.2
Edin Visca (Başakşehir, Midfielder)
Edin Visca has been one of the first players that fantasy football fans has been picking when they design their squads for at least 3 years. He is an assist master. Although he has performed fine so far (4 goals & 5 assists in 13 appearances) expectations from him are higher. His club’s below par performances also affected him negatively. He is seeking for a fresh start and Erzurumspor game seems very suitable for him. Considering also his set-piece competency, we expect him to be the leader player against Erzurumspor game.
Key Stats (per game): Crosses: 1.2 / Shots: 2.6 / Key Passes: 3.2
Hugo Rodallega (Denizlispor, Forward)
Hugo Rodallega’s performances were significantly increased after Denizlispor’s new coach Yalçın Koşukavak joined the club. Denizlispor made 2 wins & 1 draw in Yalçın Koşukavak’s first 4 games. After these 4 games’ of performances, fantasy football fans started to hesitate when picking players from Denizlispor’s opponents. Hugo Rodallega’s performance of 6 goals in last 7 games is one of the key factors of Denizlispor’s successful run. They will play against Kayserispor who recently sacked their second coach of the season. We expect the Colombian to increase his number of goals that he scored against Kayserispor.
Key Stats (per game): Shots: 3.1 / Key Passes: 0.9
Aaron Boupendza (Hatayspor, Forward)
Aaron Boupendza is on fire! He scored 6 goals in just 2 games that he played within 5 days and he is at no. 1 ranking in top goalscorers table with his 9 goals. We should also mention that he made this stats in just 11 games and 497 minutes. (1 goal per 55 minutes) Together with Boupendza’s performance, Hatayspor has also been making their mark in Turkish Süper Lig this season. They are currently at the 5th place and it seems that their performance is sustainable. Boupendza is again one of the most favorite players for fantasy football fans against Gençlerbirliği this week. Do not finalize your squads without him.
Key Stats (per game): Crosses: 0.2 / Shots: 1.8 / Key Passes: 0.5
Surprise Pick
Anthony Nwakaeme (Trabzonspor, Midfielder)
After his consecutive 10 goals & 10 assists and 11 goals & 6 assists of performances in last two seasons, Anthony Nwakaeme made a slow start for this season. He has 4 goals and 1 assist so far in his 12 appearances. This week’s Göztepe game seems very suitable for him to start making his mark again. He scored in Fatih Karagümrük game after a long silence. You might keep him in your squads this week.
Key Stats (per game): Crosses: 0.3 / Shots: 2.8 / Key Passes: 1.1
Recommended Teams for Player Picks
Beşiktaş
Beşiktaş won 8 out of their last 9 offical games and didn’t concede any goals in last 4 games. They scored also 2.60 goals per game. Against their Rizespor game this week, Cyle Larin, Atiba Hutchinson, Bernard Mensah, Valentine Rosier and Domagoj Vida are suitable alternatives to pick for the squads.
Başakşehir
Previous Süper Lig champions Başakşehir won only 6 out of last 24 games which doesn’t reflect their squad quality. We expect them to start a winning streak and Erzurumspor game could be the first ring of the chain. Starting from Edin Visca, there are plenty of players to be picked. But be careful with the possible rotation that Okan Buruk might consider this week.
