Turkey: Musa Missing In Fatih Karagumruk’s Draw Vs Alanyaspor; Nwobodo In Action For Goztepe

Nigeria captain Ahmed Musa was not included in the matchday squad as Fatih Karagumruk held their hosts Alanyaspor to a 1-1 draw in their Turkish Super Lig clash on Sunday, reports Completesports.com.

Musa has scored one goal in 17 league appearances for the club this season.

In another Turkish Super Lig clash, Obinna Nwobodo featured for 90 minutes in Gotzepe’s 1-1 home draw against Adana Demirspor.

It was the midfielders’ 17th league appearance appearance for the home team.

The 25-year-old is however yet to open his goal account for the campaign.

David Akintola was an unused substitute for Adana Demirspor in the game.

Musa has not played up to 4 times this season for his struggling club but he made an Afconn team.Nigeeian footballers don’t know when to call it quits .just like ighalo who recently made a come back, they will both end up not making any appearance , thereby wasting two slots that could have either gone to a midfieger ordefender ,after the Afcon, one would think that they will leave the team respectfully but for WhERE!!!.they will still want to remain to use the national team to still make themselves relevant.

To your mind now, you have made a comment. Don’t you think you are mad?

Kai… Someone made a comment, with no insult to anyone reading it, and you cursed him this much? Nawa o

Hello Bello, I guess you were actually referring to yourself as mad. How can you curse someone that only drop a comment.

        • Ako AMADI 2 years ago

How can Shehu who plies his trade in Cyprus be picked ahead of Ebuehi a player in Italy’s Serie A ? Or Akpoguna from Germany’s Bundesliga? What injustice!!

          • KangA 2 years ago

One philosopher whose name I can’t remember said: “Injustice is done when the equals are treated unequally, and the unequals are treated equally.”

          • Babad 2 years ago

Not to worry!, your prayers will soon come to pass because Shehu is injured. He got injured playing for his club yesterday.

          • JimmyBall 2 years ago

I am not Abdullahi Shehu spokesman but he is not vying directly with Akpoguma and Ebuehi for position…

Yes, Shehu can slot at right back where he started his thing with the Super Eagles but he was a key midfield player in CHAN 2014.

He has often impressed at DM role also and I feel maybe Shehu was considered because he is decent in DM and can also deputize at rightback.

Just saying though… One thing that is sure is that Cameroon Afcon fallouts will further shape the Super Eagles team in the ensuing months post Afcon.

A nediocre Ahned Musa has no business in the Super Eagles squad at the expense of younger players who are in form. It is a shame thst ethnic politics has crept into our football.

Chinenye this your natural hatred for Musa has passed be careful o.. you always carry your bad vibes and energy and follow him all the way to his club side. I told you this boy is national asset. And I told you he is going through tough times at his club.. Have never read where you criticize nacho when he was going through rough times at the hands of Rogers with liecester city. Instead of waiting on CSN for a disappointing news headline about Musa our captain why don’t you take out time, use the same energy to put him in your prayers every morning.. How many of you even pray for your captain not to talk about the team as a whole??

    • @Monkey Post. Musa is a National asset and so? Will he be the first abi what are you saying? It’s not like he has ever been named African footballer of the year or even played for any top club in Europe. We really play too much in this country. So the National team is now a rehabilitation camp. Musa should have hung his boots after the last nations cup but he is still in the National team because of the powers that be. Even the Super Eagles is being politicized. The only thing that gives us joy in this country has become an object of politicking. We just wasted 2 slots in that attack by including Musa and Ighalo just like we wasted 2 slots in the defense by the inclusion of Shehu and Ndah. And don’t come here to tell me shit about experience

      • Bello 2 years ago

Monkey, what you must know, madness is difficult to cure. Leave them alone

      • Honestly, I’m fed up with this country. 4 slots wasted. Who’s Ndah to be selected at the expense of Ebuehi or Akpoguma?

    • Chinenye 2 years ago

Monkey post, you’ve really lost it to think Musa’s situation needs prayers. He’s given his all to the team when he’s got it. Right now he can’t give what he does not have. It’s that simple! Not a spiritual problem

  • MONKEY POST 2 years ago

Please @Chinenye come off this hatred you call critism for Musa.. Anytime there is a content on CSN concerning musa, I always know you will be on the comments section with your hate speech..Lol.

    • Chinenye 2 years ago

I hate musa, I hate Ighalo, any other thing next?

      • That’s why people like you never make it in life…all you do is hate on one person or another. You think you’re the only one against the decision to call up Shehu and Musa?(including myself) But did you see people preaching hate here. It shows your feeling for Musa goes beyond football…I don’t think Musa or Shehu put gun to Eguavoen’s head to insist they get called up. If Musa’s call up is giving you hypertension why not go and face Eguavoen for calling them…..e never reach the level of ‘hate’. Imagine hating Somebody that is far far far far ahead of you in life.

        • Chinenye 2 years ago

@seyi jokes on you if don’t know the word “sarcasm “. Another social media tout, next!

  • MONKEY POST 2 years ago

And @Michel you took that too far. Someone insulted you. Why not insult him back instead of dragging is Dad into it??

    • Bello 2 years ago

The easiest way to know a mad person. It was just a question I asked the craze and before you say kamaru, his colony of craze begin to respond. Don’t even bother, leave them, by their fruits.

    • You are being biased here. Why not condemn @Bello for insulting him first? @Michael made an innocuous comment without insulting anyone, only for @Bello to insult him and he replied in kind.
If @Bello hadn’t been insolent, @Michael would have kept his peace. So @Monkey Post, don’t be biased coz someone seems to tow your points of view.

  • MONKEY POST 2 years ago

    *His*

  • @monkey post i am seeing ur comments while are we continuing ignoring truth in this country we should start embracing truth so that the country will start moving forward imagine Musa, Ighalo, shehu making afcon list to me is compensation to them not merit imagine a young lad like calvin bassey, who is a future defender not in that list show we don’t have plans for young ones in this country osimhen went to last afcon now 2yrs later he is top player i hope we are not going to lose bassey just has we lost alaba.

  • Dreye 2 years ago

@Bello.. It is possible madness is in his DNA.

  • @Dreye, okay tomorrow is 28th.

  • MONKEY POST 2 years ago

@Linkin Oga Weldone CSK Moscow during the hay days when and where Musa played for was not a force to reckon with abi? It was not a top European club abi? And you don’t use person accolades or that metal gong given by CAF to judge a good player. Otherwise you will tell me how many Okocha that is 5 times better than Musa won? Or how many Aboutrika of Egypt won?

  • Bernard 2 years ago

Guys, you don’t have to blame the craze. Once a particular tin registered in craze man brain, he hardly forgets. Leave am till after afcon, it’s going to be remove Musa, Ighalo, shehu from the list.

  • MONKEY POST 2 years ago

@Bright you people are the ones failing to embrace the truth. And the truth is we need some experienced legs and motivation in the team.. I can’t go beyond that. Period!

But still, how would you feel if all the members of the team apart from a few like Osimhe who has one Afcon experience ( where we won only bronze) are rookies when it comes to Afcon duty?

  • Marvelous 2 years ago

My problem is parking 4 goal keepers to AFCON, no other team in the world will do that. Why carry Olisa Ndah, how much did he pay? No wonder the list was delayed. I won’t talk much about nwakali because it seems the people are still entangle with his U17 exploit forgetting his current form or club position. But there’s an adage that says,”I get am before no be property”. Musa and Ighalo are slots of Amuja Pinnick, though I will still give my vote on Ighalo. Shehu is the guy I will like to know who cooks his concoction.
Now take a look at the possible Slot wasted…

OLISA NDAH KELECHI NWAKALI JOHN NOBLE….. Equavon products waiting for marketing

ODION IGHALO AHMED MUSA SHEHU ADULAHI…..Class house slots

That’s a total of 6 players. Now take a look at the players sacrificed for them.

    1. CYRIL DESSERS
    2. CALVIN BASSEY
    3.AKPOGUMA
    4.AMOO
    5.SEMI AJAYI
6.TYRONE EBUEHI, etc (I almost weep on this Ebuehi case. If you use this guy and Aina in one game, the result will be great)

All the same I wish SE good luck in Cameroon.

    • Mahmud Shuaib 2 years ago

I can bet you that some people who haven’t revovered from the RHORING shocker will claim you are my clone or by extension @JIMMYBALL’s double.

Reading your beautiful piece, I almost thought I typed it in my dream…lol. The only slight differences will be JOHN NOBLE. He is definitely above EGUAVOEN’s station because he was listed by ROHR. SSomeone UP THERE is responsible jist like an inactive and bench warming EZENWA went to WC and AFCON at the expense of active GKs.

I have since moved on and actually got my tickets ready rearing to go…CAMEROON here I come!

On a final note, I wish to save some people the nightmare of questioning or rather rubbishing my views because THEY feel its JIMMYBALL writing.

      1. Its as clear as day that JIMMYBALL is much younger than me. I read where he stated that he finished Sec Schl in 1996 and was teqm mates with Dominic Oruma in 1997. I graduated from ABU Zaria in 1997.

      2. I was contemporary of Patrick Mancha, Precious Monye Onyeabor, John Zaki, Bala Boyi, John Agom…we were screened in the Northern Zone. I played some tune up matches as that SCOTLAND 89 set was in its formative stage.

If I was successful, I would be team mates with Ikpeba, Fetuga, Keshinro, Godwin Okpara etc today.

      3. I am not based outside the shores of this country like JIMMYBALL

      4. I am Yoruba who was born and grew up in the North. I guess JIMMYBALL is Igala or Idoma

With this DISCLAIMER, it should lay to rest every conspiracy insinuations about my person

Like I oft say, unless we decide to unmask or unveil ourselves here; we are all faceless forumites who dont get paid for what we write here. Its only for our education, information and entertainment.

Compliments of the season once again!

      • JimmyBall 2 years ago

@Mahmud Shuaib… Thank you for elucidating these points. Often when I type my several cached username on my device automate my username to my real name and when I don’t pay attention to manually corrects it, then my real name gets dropped here which @Dr.Drey knows even if it’s a comment to respond to just clarifications and has often accused me of using multiple aliases here which isn’t the case.

I have even viewed things slightly from a different angle to you @Mahmud but even in those sort of posts where our views differ, I still see your detailed angle and acknowledge your balanced views when you post.

We are just trying to support the team even though for some of us the recall of Ighalo was a sore point, but in the case or Musa, I believe he is in the process of exiting the Super Eagles after the next two Major tournaments (Cameroon & Qatar) and I must confess Musa when fit is better to have on bench compared to Samuel Kalu (these days), Onyekuru has had a stunted club and national team career, in his place Ejuje stands firm.

I have said it though Akpoguma have had his struggles in the games we saw him but he is a good player that still will get his chance to convince and probably send either Balogun to exit then team being younger or push Ekong to the bench.

Fallouts of Cameroon 2022 will reshape the team again as underperforming players will have their positions later pinched from them. I would have taken Akpoguma ahead of Ndah only for purposes of level of their club competition, but that being said I will give the Ndah lad, benefit of the doubt and trust Eguaveon and the technical committee choice of him, I believe he appears to them more suited in a crunchy African game.

    • Spot on. Nothing to add here. But backwardness is the middle name of the so-called giant of Africa.

    • Babad 2 years ago

@mavelous your prayers will soon come to pass because Shehu got injured playing for his club yesterday. The debate here is who replaces him?

    • None of the players listed are regulars in the Super Eagles so their absence wont be felt, even as much as we would have liked to see some of them in the final team list.
Im already happy that the quartet of ejuke, awoniyi, dennis and sadiq are in the team. The only other player whom I would have liked to be in the team is Raphael nwadike onyedika. He is a promising talent with good range of passing and marking. He reminds me of sunday oliseh and I see him benching the likes of frank the tank in no distant time if he is given a chance.
Nwakaili is also in the team so we have some creativity. He will compete with iwobi for that slot. So the team list is balanced. All we have to hope for is that the coaches should play the right players in the right position and formation. And for our defenders to be at their very best.

  • Sunnyb 2 years ago

@Akin I don’t care who started it first. But all I know is it is wrong to bring someone’s dad or family into insult. And it seems you forgot to read the part where I said he should have instead insulted Bello back directly than dragging the dad here.

And @Marvelous that adage doesn’t come near to experience cos it never fades. But if you still want to stick to it, I guess Eguavon should explain better on why at 32 years of age he failed to call it a quit with the super eagles duri his time.

  • MONKEY POST 2 years ago

  • @monkey post oga what kind of experience are you talking about can shehu disposes Okpoguma from a merit team or calvin Bassey presently how many match did shehu played during qualifiers abeg i am watching let me see if they can even get to third position we are watching is only super eagles a captain will be clubless yet still be in the team always doing things unprofessional it’s time we should started doing things professionally.

  • MONKEY POST 2 years ago

LMAO!! Party never start dem don dey carry chair.
All the Afcon I have been opportune to watch have been full of surprises.. y’all are shouting wasted slot…How is it wasted slot, when it has not even started.. It is even those that y’all have high expectations on that might disappoint and the underated that would take the shine. For instance I never expected Ighalo to go home with the golden boot at the 2019 Afcon Finals in Egypt after failing to register a single goal in Russia. I expected Salah, mahrez and the rest..

News is that Shehu got injured in game he played on boxing day and might not make the team.

    • Henry 2 years ago

As long as it is not Onyeka, Okoye, Nwakali, others must be dropped. Hope you haven’t forgotten Olisah Ndah and Noble in your daily recitation?

      • When people are even complaining of Musa inclusion what about that Nwakali, what does he do to merit the list? Except the only call to Eguavon and nobody is talking about it. Apart from his under 17 days exploits what meaningful thing has the guy done? He even failed to qualify to Olympic with under 23 the last time. Even in club football what has he been doing? But Nigerian just like to be sentimental and biase in everything hence the shout for this guy all these year. Now he is in the team let’s see the miracle he will perform

        • Babad 2 years ago

@taye, Nwakali will shock you. Not every player will have it good with club football when he(Nwakali) shown like a million stars vs Atletico Madrid where was he playing? Porto B team. Your argument doesn’t hold water.

  • @monkey post Cus that period ighalo was informed for super eagles he was the highest go scorer during the afcon qualifies world cup is a different tournament entirely from afcon what i am trying to say here is this guy presently are not informed and we don’t know their level of fitness right now the team don’t have space for compensation players right now.

    • MONKEY POST 2 years ago

@Bright No worry. Shey its just less than 2weeks to the tournament? No dey carry chair when party never start…

This forum is to learn and to be inform about the current situation of Nigeria soccer. Pls don’t this place to bandit or agbero camps.

  • Let me make things clear even though ighalo or Musa is with the team without a sound coach the team will not still performed well the current young stars with a sound technical coach and good team selection this young guys can performed well it was rohr lack of technicality and low confidence that made him started looking for ighalo returned

  • @monkey post i thought the plenty chair you said i am carrying you gave them to me sentiment will not allow some people to say the truth.

    • MONKEY POST 2 years ago
