Turkish League: Abdullahi Fired Up For Bursaspor Tough Clash Vs Basaksehir

Nigeria defender Shehu Abdullahi is confident his club Bursaspor can claim an away win against league leaders Istanbul Basaksehir in Saturday’s Turkish Super Lig clash, reports Completesports.com.

The Greens who are fighting to escape the drop face a daunting task against Basaksehir who enjoy a six points lead ahead of champions and second placed Galatasaray in the table.

Bursaspor occupy 14th position in the 18-team table are without a win in their last eight league matches.

But Abdullahi is adamant his club can end their winless streak by claiming a big win against the title favourites.

”We are up against Istanbul Basaksehir tomorrow, the league leader. Top game with our priority to come back home with positive result. Wishing our travelling fans safety. We’ll battle together at Istanbul! We are @BursasporSk,” Abdullahi tweeted.

Abdullahi who has battled hard to stay fit has featured in four league games for Bursaspor this season.

He is in line to get a recall to the Super Eagles for the next month’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying clash against Seychelles and the friendly encounter against Egypt.
