U-17 Wafu Zone B Tourney: Golden Eaglets Qualify For Semi-finals, To Face Burkina Faso

The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria have qualified for the semi-finals of the U-17 WAFU Zone B qualifiers in Lome, Togo, Completesports.com reports.

The Fatai Amoo-led side’s quantification into the last four was confirmed after Cote d’Ivoire beat Ghana 3-1 in their second Group B game on Tuesday.

The Eaglets lost 1-0 to Cote d’Ivoire in their opening game before drawing 1-1 with Ghana in their second fixture.

And to stand a chance of advancing into the last four the Nigerians needed Cote d’Ivoire to beat Ghana by a wider goal margin.

After the end of the group games, Cote d’Ivoire topped with six points while the Eaglets finished second with one point.

Both the Eaglets and Ghana had a point each but the Nigeian side advanced on superior goals difference.

Following their qualification, the Eaglets will now face Group A winners Burkina Faso in the semi-finals and Cote d’Ivoire will tackle Niger Republic.

Both semi-finals will take place on Friday 15 January.

The two teams that emerge from the semi-finals will qualify for the 2021 U-17 AFCON which will be hosted in Morocco.

That is always the problem with Nigerian fans, anytime there is a loss of game by national team, they pounce on the coach and the players. Blamme NFF,for poor planing, fire brigade approach and none payment of salaries/bonuses.

Bros no blame fatai Amoo the U17 coach. No ample time to train these boys. Its NFF faults by not planning well.

E don start. That’s their trade mark: waiting for Rwanda to beat Benin by 5 goals. Hoping that burkinafaso to draw with Ghana and expecting Mali to lose to Lesotho and so on. Forcing people to visit beer parlors without tvs(just so that replays would not be shown in order not to worsen the already miserable situation) at midnight to alleviate heart breaks suffered after matches … Shameless useless people. All they know is corruption, nothing more! Some people have begun shopping for calculators already.

Calculator sellers will open their shops again. I pray Rohr will not join them to make us use Calculator for qualification.

Alleluia somebody…..LMAO….Fatai Amoo owes the CIV u17 coach all the salary he has received since his appointment. CIV didn’t need the match yet they still went ahead to hammer Ghana in this manner. Welcome to reality folks….LMAO…even within half of West Africa (WAFU Zone B) we now need to fast and pray, do permutations and combinations and wait for “unmerited favors” to avoid elimination….LMAO.
Progressive Regressives….Ndi local coaches + local players…..once again how is you heart attack swimming and sinking going….??? LMAO

Please Pundits, which channel can I watch this under 17 matches?

  • Lord AMO 3 years ago

When one sees good market it is imperative he or she takes advantage.  I’m here to announce the opening of Lord AMO’s Supreme Calculator shop! It is a one stop shop for your scientific, graphing, and permutation calculators.  These will come in handy whenever the golden eaglets, flying eagles, chan eagles, and super falcons/falconets are playing the their qualifiers or third group stage matches as a special button has been added recently just to accommodate.

We are watching intensely to see if we need to add a Super Eagles feature to our calculators.  So far Oga Rohr dey spoil market.

Oya place your orders sharp sharp

I disposed of my old calculator, thanks to Rohr’s performance. I felt I would not be needing it again. However, recent developments have me thinking I should have held on to it.
So, I would like to place an order for a new calculator. Please send me one with Super Eagles feature added on. We have to be ready for anything.
