Falconets head coach Moses Aduku says his team is fully prepared for their opening match against Spain at the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
Nigeria will face Spain in their Group F opener in Sosnowiec on Monday, September 7.
The Falconets rounded off their preparations for the tournament with a 1-1 draw against Korea Republic in a friendly on Tuesday afternoon.
The result followed their 1-0 victory over hosts Poland in another warm-up encounter in Brzeg last Friday.
Aduku Satisfied With Preparations
Aduku expressed satisfaction with his players’ performances in both friendly matches, insisting the team is in good shape ahead of the World Cup.

“So far, so good. We are done with our friendly games, and for me, we are good. There are no injury worries, and my girls are ready. Therefore, we’re waiting for the 7th against Spain,” Aduku told NFF media.
Reflecting on the draw against Korea Republic, the coach admitted his side could have won the game but praised the quality of their opponents.
“For me, the game was so good. We lost one or two scoring chances to win the game, but all the same, I respect the Korean team. They are also a good side,” he said.
Focus Shifts To Spain
Aduku added that the Falconets are now fully focused on their clash with Spain and will approach the competition one game at a time.
“Yes, we are ready. That’s why we are in Poland. We are here to take one game at a time, and we have no other game but to play against Spain. So, we are ready,” he added.
The Falconets will be hoping to make a positive start to their campaign when they take on the Spaniards in their opening Group F fixture.
