The Olympic ticket is also very important. Perhaps the reasoning for the exclusion of THE GIFT from the SE is that:
    1) His inclusion in the Olympic Eagles is a big boost to our chances of qualifying for the Olympic soccer event.
    2) It’s tough to expect him to play for both the SE and the Olympic Eagles in the same week.
    3) The players invited in the current SE squad are capable of getting the job done.
So, it appears that EL GIFTO is on a “RESCUE MISSION”. Help Nigeria secure the Olympic ticket. If his form remains intact, his place in the SE remains intact.
Having said that, the non-invitation of players like Boniface, Akpom and Tella remains a head scratcher.
Add Success to that list, as he’s been doing really well of late. Unfortunate for these guys that we have many options in the attack. Still, their exclusion had better be backed by some solid reasons, and the players selected in their place had better justify their selection! I’m also concerned about a few of the players selected for the SE midfield and defense, especially the right back position.
Those in charge of player selection will need to be held accountable if things go south.

Are they saying Moses simon are better than te players you mentioned. Or even the captain Musa who is always on the bench. Even dessers i wonder what he needs to do to get into the team. It’s obvious the coach is not the one selecting the team. You now inviting foreign based that many haven’t seen there game.

My question to Salisu is if you don’t know Orban that plays in Gent and participating in UEFA. How then do you now manage to scout all these players whose clubs has no match detail history. I checked on most of the players on this list starting from Success and realised his club is even playing as I write but their are no information of the match such as team list and other statistics. Nigeria has a long way to go….

Players like Abraham Markus is scoring for fun in PortoB ready to move to their main team next season, Ifeanyi Mattew, Obinna Nwobodo, Alhassan Ibrahim, alhassan Yusuf and even Sikiru olatubosun are left to rot for pay as you players that will continue disgracing Nigeria.

Senegal is reaping the results of Honesty I wonder when we start to become honest.

All this players I mentioned are on the age bracket of u23 yet wili wili coach will never select what’s good because of pay as you play addiction. Naming all sort of gimmicks to come and represent Nigeria when we have solid players in Belgium and other decent league you come here giving us hustler footballers with Zero talents. I have started working on my coaching license because it appears that most of us here are even more enlightened than these politicians appearing as Coaches.

This is what happens when NFF hired an extremely outdated coach who is not in touch with modern football trends and hasn’t even done any coaching course to upgrade their knowledge of the game….And also a moron as technical director..

@Chima E Samuels… You have a solid point on the inclusion of performing players in the team. However, your analysis is wrong about the players you mentioned being in the age bracket for the u-23 team.
As a strong follower of football especially concerning players of Nigerian origin, the only player on your list who is eligible for the u23 team is Alhassan Yusuf at 22, and he has been injured since November 2022.
Sikiru Olatubosun hasn’t had any significant achievement since he moved to Turkey and is 27 years old. Obinna Nwobodo is about 26 and so is Ifeanyi Matthew, considering when they were Part of the flying eagles set-up. Besides, scoring 6 goals in 20 matches cannot be tagged “scoring for fun” especially when it is for Porto B.
Please next time you want to make certain comments about player eligibility, ensure you do your research first so that they don’t conceal the other good points you made.

Obinna Nwobodo, Ifeanyi Matthew and Ibrahim Hassan all played for the Flying Eagles in 2015, together with the likes of Iheanacho, Ndidi, Moses Simon and Isaac Success, How can they still be eligible for u-23, after 8 good years. My humble advice to you bro is to allow the coaches to do their job.

Their last set of matches didn’t inspire confidence. I saw that. I would have loved to see some reinforcement, beyond what Salisu is doing now. Players like Alhassan Yussuff (22), Orban (20), Boniface (22) should have been brought into the team. They would have provided a deeper depth in the attack and midfield than what we currently have. I was also expecting some players from the u20 team like Muhamemmd Ibeji, Agbalaka, Fredrick, Bameiyi, Daga (if he’s fit now),Sunday and maybe Anagbaiso to join the team. These Flying Eagles players just came out of a competition with a different level confidence and mentality. It could prove very useful for this team. Except may be, the NFF is joking with our qualification for the next Olympics, these players are more needed in Salisu’s team than the Super Eagles.

I so much doubt the ability of this team getting the Job done for us.

I gave up, the mission to destroy everything in Nigeria is on .

  • Edoman 1 year ago

where is Victor Boniface (22) out of all these? Does he not qualify to be invited to play, l may ask. In my own humble opinion, Orban & Boniface are capable of destroying any team in Africa today. Why did they live Boniface out in the cold.?

Even Yira Sor that scored a golazo, recently signed to replace Onuachu by Genk was ignored over all these unknown entities from Malta and Latvia. These coaches are not following any players but bunch of politicians bent for evil.
