Atletico Madrid manager, Diego Simeone, has disclosed his plan ahead of tonight’s Champions League game against Man United at Old Trafford.
The LaLiga side take on United at Old Trafford in the second leg of their last 16 tie.
The tie comes two years after Atleti knocked out Liverpool at the same stage after an epic 3-2 win at Anfield.
Although United have home advantage after a 1-1 draw in Spain, Simeone said his team know from experience how to win on English soil and will go into the game undaunted.
“We’ve done well in previous games like this in this country.
“We’ll do what the team requires. We’re really up for the game, we’re happy and that’s really important on an individual level to do well on a collective level.
“It will be a dynamic game, a game where there will be alternate moments. It will be the classic type of match you expect in a game like this, the vertigo you suffer sometimes when a team plays at home.
“I think we will have the opportunity to hit on the counter, to capitalise on any errors they make. I’m sure we’ll find solutions and be able to resolve things,” Simeone said.
