It is not a bad idea after all moving to FC Brugges.

  • Ghanaian players lighting up The UEFA Champions League competition from England to Germany to Portugal!
Because Ghana have not won The Nations Cup in a long time [ so have Morocco not] or because they were eliminated by The Comoros Island at the last Nations Cup, Ghana still has tremendous pedigree in soccer going back to the 1950s.The country though small in population have produced great players and continues to produce great players.
Fans should not let rivalry or resentment becloud their sense of reasoning.
On the other hand, great to see youngsters Raphael Onyedika and Calvin Bassey playing Champions League football. It bodes well for the future of our national team.

What has Ghanaian players got to do with the article on Nigerian players? People like you are the ones giving Ghana undeserved recognition that makes feel they are big. I can’t think of another African country that writes terrible things about Nigeria online apart from Ghana. Is that the country you are trying to promote here?

      • Greenturf 2 years ago

Nothing wrong with what he wrote about Ghana you guys should move on from the world cup elimination.
Ghanaian players are truly doing well,it’s a world cup year every player fancy there chances.
With good administration hopefully, after the coming elections, things could get better with new and good heads also, the likes of Dare replaced by the new government next year, only then we may start experiencing positive changes.
I can’t believe Eguavoen of all coaches in the world was given such a very important assignment,a coach that has a history of failure both within and outside the country, such carelessness is what we are suffering today.
To make matters worst he still retained his job as head of technical department of our football what a mess!I reckon Pinnick kept him on to favour his fellow South South what a shame!

      • @ Naija, two wrongs do not make a right.
Remember the saying, ”when they go low, we go high.”

First time in decades that your players will feature in Champions league we will not hear word. Do you know how long Nigerian players have been scoring in EPL, Seria A, Champions league and etcetera. Ghanaians just as the bible says they that compare themselves are not wise. Osimhen and other Nigerian players that scored in previous top flight matches was never mentioned on your websites. It’s becoming weird why you guys always think of Nigeria anytime you have a small achievement that doesn’t concern Nigeria. Even the players scoring doesn’t add a dime to your pocket or change your life so you guys should pay more attention on your personal lives than putting so much emotions on Nigeria matter.

With the report I am getting from owngoalnigeria.com and scorenigeria.com.ng has it that two of the newest players to be paraded against the dessert foxes of Algeria will be Onyedika (Club Brugge) and Alhassan Yusuf (Royal Antwerp) both in the Belgian top flight league.

For me, this is fascinating to hear wallahi. I hope Akpoguma will be made to see reason to come back to the team this time that the likes of Omeruo and Ajayi won’t be available.

Another defender who is really knocking the door of invite is Igoh Ogbu of Lillestroem. The Stats for this guy is really awesome and Tantalizing guy. According to sofacore App: Ogbu’s defensive strength lies in POSITIONING, TACKLES, PASSING & AERIAL DWELLS.

As the super eagles handlers need to prepare for outgoing of Balogun, Omeruo and Ekong, the team needs to inject new players most especially in the central defence. So, now an invite to the likes of Igoh Ogbu and the reabsorption of Kevin Akpoguma.

  • Yes. I also believe now is the best time to invite Onyedika and Yusuf bcos they are really in hot form. And as per our defenceline especially the central defence, lgor Ugbo,Kevin Akpoguma and Jordan Torunarigha should be there if only we are indeed serious in anything concerning the rejuvenation of of the team that should now be our main target considering the manner of our elimination from the last qualification campaigns to the world cup coming up in Qatar later in d year nd also the emergence of exciting young Nigerian talents all over the globe.
We should also consider inviting Ishaq Razak of Anderletch who is very sound utility player, fast nd energetic. He should be made to challenge Ola Aina for a spot in our right back. I see him doing a great job there too bcos of his energetic play, pace nd techniques.
    Kudos everyone!

  • Victor Boniface deserves a look in as well
