Legendary France defender, Laurent Blanc, has said the duel between Victor Osimhen and Robert Lewandowski in the Champions League clash between Napoli and Barcelona will be amazing.
The two sides will meet in the Champions League round of 16 in February and March.
The first leg is at the Stadio Maradona on February 21, 2024, while the reverse fixture will be played in Barcelona on March 12, 2024.
Blanc, who played for both Napoli and Barcelona during his illustrious football career, stated that Osimhen can become one of the best strikers.
“He (Osimhen) can become one of the best strikers,” the 58-year-old told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Lewandowski is closer to the end of his playing career and it will be an amazing duel, without forgetting other stars such as Kvaratskhelia, another top player.”
The 1998 World Cup winner mentioned the category he feels Osimhen belong among top players in the world.
“Osimhen belongs to the category of superstars. He is phenomenal, young, and with ample room for improvement.”
The Super Eagles striker has scored eight goals, provided three assists in 16 games in all competitions this season.
On his part Lewandowski has scored nine goals, made four assists in 20 games in all competitions for Barcelona this campaign.
Both players were instrumental in helping their clubs win their respective league titles last season.

Truly, Messi should be rivalry Osimhen in terms of World best striker. Jay Jay Okocha from Bendel almost clinch it but was denied despite his strong and articulate performances. My unassailable and candid opinion devour of ethnic mentality is that Osimhen is gonna rule the World of football very soon.
Are you suggesting there are some ethnicized never do well on here? I will advise you to let the noisemakers be. Besides, Victor is already to the World while ethnic preferences are bench warmers, lol!
Osimhen should give us at least one of his trademark goals against Bacca.
