UCL : Osimhen Scores In Lille’s Home Loss To Chelsea, Olayinka Caged As Slavia Prague Suffer Defeat Against Dortmund

Victor Osimhen scored his first ever UEFA Champions League goal but still ended up on the losing side as Lille went down to a 2-1 home defeat against Chelsea in their Group H clash on Wednesday night.

Tammy Abraham opened scoring for Chelsea in the 22nd minute after latching to a long pass from the midfield.

The lead lasted for 11 minutes before Osimhen restored parity for the hosts off a powerful header from Jonathan Bamba’s corner kick.

Brazilian winger William netted the winning goal for Chelsea 13 minutes from time.

Super Eagles forward  Paul Onuachu was benched for 90 minutes as Belgian champions,  KRC Genk were held to a 0-0 draw by Italian side, Napoli at the Luminus Arena.

Onuachu’s international teammmate, Stephen Odey was however not listed by Genk for the game.

The home side picked their first point of the group stage following their 6-2 thrashing by Austrian club, Red Bull Salzburg.

Onuachu has made one Champions League appearance for Genk, while Odey is yet to feature in any game.

At the Sinobo Arena, Peter Olayinka featured for 90 minutes in Slavia Prague’s 2-0 home loss to German club, Borrussia Dortmund.

Morocco defender Achraf Hakimi scored both goals for the visitors.

How Oshimen leads the Top scorers chat in France marvels me and make me to sing his praises even more now. In what I watched today, LILLE lacked Midfielders! When Renato Sanches came on, I thought it would be better but Yascizi made it even worse with annoying passes and they are easily dispossessed. There wingers keeps pushing the ball forward yet they don’t have the pace to match it! Victor Oshimen keeps chasing every ball that comes his way all the time! His work rate is highly commendable. I’m just imagining if Victor now begins to play in a more composed team with a better midfield, The WORLD will sing his praises! A great Striker he is truly and a huge asset to us. Cheers guys!

  • Tammy turn down England says he his undecided yet on the country he want to play for … Sky sport

Southgate is including him in the forthcoming Euro qualifiers. If Tammy plays, the Super Eagles can bid him farewell.

Who needs Abraham when you already have a lethal striker of Osimhen’s quality? Besides, his commitment to Nigeria is never in doubt. A bird in the hand…

Mehn` just took some time to watch YouTube videos of that Ejuke guy and honestly dude got crazy talent from crossing with his left foot, quick mind blowing runs and dribbles down the flanks, loads of shots in both foot, blind spot on passes and up through balls to locate his team mates who are left in shock of he managed to find them…
In short; that boy is a full package!!!

I understand Ejuke of a guy, but guys please let start playing players from bigger clubs and leaque like Brazil and the rest

  • Nigeria needs Tammy Abraham, now that people are comparing him and Osimhen it will bring the best out of both of them and that will be for our own advantage if he commits to us Osimhen is already extremely good but having Tammy around will make him better,
    IT’S OUR TURN AGAIN!

I concur bro, we need him, especially now he has also turn down England

      • Kweli 5 years ago

Wrong. Southgate has already named him for the Euro qualifier. If he plays, say goodbye. I would go for Osimhen any time.

  • D fact is dat Tammy Abraham wud play for Nigeria…#mark my word…is duin all dis to attract more fame nd popularity to himself,(as both nig nd eng are struggling 4 him),he’s nt a fool wen he’s wishing to partner wit osimhen in d nearest future nd can’t wait to get started..cus he knows dat a drop in form wud mak England drop him unlike Nigeria…

I’ve not read that news of Tammy Abraham turning down England. Somebody please send the link

    • Lord AMO 5 years ago

He did not turn them down. He merely said his international future is undecided. Until he gets an England call up and rejects it then nothing can really be said
