UCL Playoffs:  Adegbenro,  Akintola Fall With Rosenborg

Nigerian duo, Samuel Adegbenro and David Akintola failed to rescue their Norwegian side, Rosenborg from going down to a 2-0 defeat against Dinamo Zagreb of Croatia in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League, playoffs, first leg fixture at the Stadion Maksimir, Zagreb, reports Completesports.com.

Adegbenro and Akintola were in action from the start in the highly entertaining game.

Akintola was however replaced by Pal Andre Helland in the 84th minute.

Bruno Petkovic and Mislav Orsic were both on target for Dinamo Zagreb in the game.

Dinamo Zagreb’s Nigerian midfielder, Iyayi Atiemwen took the place of Orsic four minutes from time.

The reverse fixture will take place next week Tuesday at the Lerkendal Stadion, Trondheim.
