UECL: Orban Nominated For Player Of The Week

Nigeria forward Gift Orban has been nominated for UEFA Europa Conference League Player of the Week.

Orban netted a hat-trick in KAA Gent’s 3-2 away victory against Icelandic side, Breidablik on Thursday night.

It was the 21-year-old’s second hat-trick in the competition.

The young striker opened scoring for the Buffalos on six minutes, nodding home Pieter Genkens’ cross.

Breidablik rallied netting twice through Jason Svanthorson.

Gent equalised on 54 minutes with Orban converting from the spot.

The 21-year-old fired home the winning goal 21 minutes from time .

He will battle Faris Moumbagna, Jason Svanthorsson and Dor Peretz to the award.
