I find it hard to understand why this guy will not attract a better club. Russia? see how your carrier nose dive ooh.

    • @chris quality does not hide….He was never considered by any big club it’s just media hype by his agent inorder to smile to the bank…..Next thing now will be to get him into the national team by all means inorder to prepare him for the next moshroom contract….. Please this guy should just stay away from the Nigerian national team abeg…..I take God beg u…..If Paul onuachu moves to the EPL and Osimhen is still at Napoli,Kelechi is still at Leceister, Moffi still at Lorient or even a bigger club,I see no reason why a krasnoda striker will make the team ahead of them…..Do you know how many Nigerian players playing in the Russian league that have not been considered????Umar abeg stay far from Nigeria national team.

His career will not nose dive. Krasnodar is not that a bad club for him to start his career. Afterall they are in the Russian top-flight league, Russian league has the competitiveness to brighten the career of a youngster like. Congratulations in advance, Umar Sadiq!

Hmmm! which kind move be this1?

    • Are you surprised???well am not because it’s all business to this agents…..They hype players by linking them to big clubs inorder for the mushroom clubs to pounce….Real quality does not hide…..These agents will do anything to make sure their players get into the Nigerian team inorder to get clubs like this for them….They Even have promoters online and on Complete sports forum…..their promoters on CS can easily be spotted….. You here words like “we should not beg any player to come and play for Nigeria” from them…..Tell me is it not Good things they beg for???they would prefer players that beg and bribe to get into the national team to player that are genuinely talented and everyone wants to have them in their team….. You also hear words like “local players should be given a chance” from them…..Tell me does being local makes you more Nigerian than Nigerians leaving abroad???….These set of people are satanic and they are only after their pockets…..Coach Rhor has always been an advocate of top5 leagues and though Nigeria does not have many of such players ,Rhor has given the few one a shot and he wants more to move upwards to the leagues of the elite…..This is part of the reason Rhor is so hated because he is distrupting their business ventures.

  • I find this hard to believe. I am surprised. Umar is good. I know him right from Olympic era. Something must be wrong. What type of move is this. Nigerian players sometimes, same way okocha moved to fernebache and Bolton in those days. This is complete rubbish.

  • Whaaaaat?

When I tell you all these players making dumb decisions, I don’t know if I ever believe anything here

I think its about the money, the guy is not been hyped he is a complete striker with alot goals and assist on the table to prove his qualities, russia is not a small league they had eto in anzhi who was the highest paid player in the world at that time, talking about super eagles, russia league players have always done great things for supereagles eg osaze, emenike, musa, and chidi who was cska right back at that time. I think the european top 5 league is not willing to pay his price tag. As for me krasnoda is not bad if he goes there and perform well as usual he will be very much needed in the super eagles, he is better than most of the strikers we have apart from osimen

    • Umar is better than kelechi Iheanacho of Leceister city???Umar is better than Terrem mofi of Lorient???Are you for real???or you are just another agent or promoter????If he is that good how come he has never played in a top5 league since he left Roma feeders team???If he is that good how come the legendary Gerard couldn’t notice anything special in him???? Please you people should stop this business ventures it is downgrading our National team????We need elite players who are competing in Elite Leagues to raise the standard of our team?????

  • This move is retrogression. Why Russian league? I just can’t suss it out.

Hope this is not the usual Nigerian player proclivity of setting the bar low.

I wish this was just a rumour.Umar Sodiq is too good and heralded for a move to Krasnodar.

This is taking a dive into obscurity kind of, when not a few are already salivating at the prospect of him Joining a club in a Top 5 league.

What exactly do athletes live for or compete for? Fame,Money, Titles???

I don’t want to believe that Sadiq did not or does not currently attract the attention of clubs in the La Liga and other top five leagues in Europe. He may not have gotten offers from the likes of Sevilla, Villareal or Athletico, but I’m sure some mid-table teams in the top leagues must have given him a look-in and few of them must have made offers. May be their offers in terms of pay wasn’t attractive or convincing enough from Sadiq and his agency’s perspective.

On the other hand, I do not think Almeria did badly by placing a 25m Euro price tag on their prized asset. Any club in their shoes will do same if not more, based on Sadiq’s showing this past season.

What however surprises me is Sadiq’s choice of a Krasnodar that finished 10th in the Russian league. If he was moving to Russia for the money, a move to any of the Moscow clubs (CSKA, Spartak or Locomotive) would have done his profile some good, I suppose. At least we would have seen him compete in UCL or Europa, but ……

An agency can influence a player’s decision, but the final decision is still in the hands of the player, most especially one of Sadiq’s level and experience.

Whatever career decision a player and his agency makes at a time such a player is doing very well and in demand, shows clearly where the priority of the player lies; Fame, Titles or Money. Your guess is as good as mine.

If he goes to Krasnador and the likes of Simmy ends up in Fiorenrina… I am sorry then he should forget about Super Eagles debut anytime soon! I hope he remains in Spain and continue in La Liga though… for sporting reasons and his own good!

  • Sincerely i can’t picture out why this decision. Kai, is that a retregression or a progression in career?

  • Sugar Daddy 3 years ago

I hope he is not a mumu….he should be able to organise his desires…I am not happy with this move,if it’s true. What is wrong with our players sef? Can’t they just see beyond their noses? I expected so much from him…Rhor is very correct. I doff my hat to Rhor. I can really see why this guy is insisting on quality. He had invited Sadiq not because he saw him as excellent but because we were impressing it on him to get him… please, Nigerian should allow Rhor to decide his players. After all, he would be the one to bear the brunt!!

  • This guy fall my hand to even consider this club.
