Manchester United’s chances of signing Joao Felix have taken a hit following the Benfica forward’s recent comments about his future.
Portugal Under-21 international Felix has been impressive in his breakthrough season for Benfica, scoring 11 goals and notching six assists, and a number of top European teams are showing a keen interest in his services.

The 19-year-old is believed to be a summer target for 20-time English champions United, who have yet to make a decision on whether interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be appointed permanently.
However, the Red Devils may have to turn their attention elsewhere after Felix revealed he is happy in Portugal at the moment and is not thinking about a move away.
“My dream has always been to play for the big teams and in the big competitions,” he was quoted as saying by the Manchester Evening News. “But I’m here and I’m very happy with Benfica, which, like those teams, is also a big one in Europe.”
