America came with their own indigenous coach and doing great. For me its better to stick with your own no matter what and give him all the supports giving to foreign coaches as well as a long time to find his ritheme . Eguavon is not a bad coach. Same with Sia1 let’s give them SE and a maximum of five years and see whether they will not succeed. Senegalese coach won the AFCON in his third Attempt .This is his second world cup

  • You go with your own only when your local league is up to par with those who go with their own.

You go with your own only when your local players are up to par (comparable) with their counterparts abroad. You go with your own only when that your own will not take inducements and biased in their players’ selection. You go with your own when that your own know what they are doing tactically and not one way traffic and predictable to their opponents. You go with your own when those you call your own do everything to advance and improve themselves in the acts of coaching and not just sit their butts down lazying around and be waiting for NFF to sponsor them on training to improve themselves. Tell me how many of these boxes do our local coaches check?

    • How many of those we call our own has won the Local league 3 consecutive seasons? How many of them has successfully coached the CHAN team and performed well talkless of winning the CHAN. How many of them can really be compared to the Senegal or Morocco or even Ghana coaches? Not even your glorified Eguavoen. Only Samson Siasia is close but he himself is currently embroiled in bribery and match fixing scandal an offense to which mostly all of are local coaches are guilty of.

Very exciting team, young, skillful, speed, stamina name it they’ve it all, they made my made day yesterday, very proud of them. Hope Folarin Balogun will play for them, that’s what’s is lacking in that team, a good finisher.
