Super Eagles duo of Shehu Abdullahi and Francis Uzoho are one leg into the final of the Cypriot Cup after Omonia Nicosia secured a crucial 0-2 win away from home in the first leg of the semifinal at Anorthosis on Tuesday night.
Fotis Papoulis opened the scoring for the away side at the Antonis Papadopoulos Stadium in the 11th minute, before Loizos Loizos doubled their lead 25 minutes later.
Shehu, who was making his first appearance in the competition this season, was in action for 77 minutes against his former club and was replaced by Paris Psaltis with 13 minutes left to play.
However, Uzoho, who has featured twice in the competition for Omonia this season in five games, was left on the bench in the encounter.
In a social media post after the game, the Nigerian right-back thanked Anorthosis fans for the welcome he received.
