Valencia are reportedly ready to launch a bid to sign Barcelona midfielder Rafinha Alcantara this summer. Rafinha is a graduate of Barcelona’s famous academy but hasn’t been able to make the grade at the Nou Camp. He was loaned out to Inter Milan in 2017-18 and found his chances in the Catalan capital severely restricted last term.
Indeed, he made just eight appearances across all competitions as Barcelona won La Liga and the Copa del Rey. Barcelona are looking to offload players over the next few weeks as they look to finance a deal for Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar, and Rafinha looks likely to depart.
After wrapping up a deal for Maxi Gomez over the weekend, Valencia are reportedly ready to focus on Rafinha. Spanish media claim Barcelona are seeking a fee of around 15million euros although Valencia are concerned about his injury history and want a deal structured around playing time.
