Van Bronckhorst Set To Miss Out

According to reports in England, Newcastle United are not interested in making Giovanni van Bronckhorst their new manager. The Magpies are currently on the lookout for a new coach after Rafa Benitez decided to leave St James’ Park at the end of his contract in June.

Van Bronckhorst, Steve Bruce, Steven Gerrard and Mikel Arteta are all being mentioned as Newcastle try to find a replacement before the start of the new season. Van Bronckhorst’s agent confirmed earlier this month that he would be interested in the role as he looks for a new job after leaving Feyenoord.

However, reports with the Newcastle Evening Chronicle claim his lack of Premier League experience has cost him. Newcastle owner Mike Ashley is looking to make an appointment in the coming days, while takeover talks continue with an interested party.
