Aston Villa transfer target Kalvin Phillips is not looking to leave current club Leeds and wants a new deal at Elland Road. Leeds are desperate to try and lock the midfielder into a new agreement but Phillips wants any new deal to reflect his present elevated status.

A key performer in Marcelo Bielsa’s side last season, Phillips is heading into the final year of his present deal and wants any new terms to reflect the transfer valuation placed on him by the club.
Aston Villa are known to be keen on the 23-year-old and failed with a bid of £15m, including bonuses, earlier this summer as it falls a long way short of what the Whites want. Villa manager Dean Smith has not given up hope and will be monitoring contract negotiations with interest.
