Villarreal Boss Calleja: Chukwueze Is A Complete Footballer

Villarreal manager Javi Calleja has labelled Nigeria winger Samuel Chukuweze a complete player, reports Completesports.com.

Chukwueze was named man-of-the-match in Villarreal’s 1-0 home win against Real Mallorca on Tuesday and provided the assist for Carlos Bacca’s winning goal.

He was named the club’s young player of the season last term after contributing five goals in 26 outings.

The 21-year-old has scored three goals and recorded four assists in 29 league appearances for the Yellow Submarine this season.

The pacy winger has also attracted European big guns with the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea reportedly interested in his services.

Calleja reckoned that Chukwueze has what it taskes to become a top footballer in future.

“We’ve worked a lot and Samu is a very complete player. If he continues on this path, he’ll become a really top footballer,”Calleja told Villarreal’s official website.

Yes, we already know. What scatters my brain the most is that he’s still got age on his side. He still has many more fruitful years to play the round leather game whilst he keeps improving as he advances in age and experience. This and his likes and a few more experienced ones are what rohr wants to make the hub of the eagles. Players that would stay together and play for the national team as a unit at least for the next 5 to years before a change of guard. I pray he doesn’t get distracted and mantains this path.

    • I hear different exciting things about this lad but I am not cool with his weekly wage of just £500 a week. If He is that effective for His club,I thinkg that wage is too small for His quality. I stand to be corrected please.

Tope, that info about his weekly wage is fake. He earns around 13,000 euros a week.

      • @Tope, don’t believe everything you get on WhatsApp or Facebook or every blog post you read.
Samu got two payrises since he joined Villarreal’s first team. Both better contracts he signed raised his buy out clause eventually to €60m.
€500? Even 3rd Division players earn more than that
